I haven't checked out those posts. How can that be judged anyway? Unless we all start posting our real pics.

Are you worshipping a false prophet?
by scout575 inat matthew 24:30 jesus predicts his second coming, saying that he would appear: "in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
" in verse 34 he goes on to say that: "this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
" jesus is prophesying that his second coming would occur during the lifetime of his contempories.

When I read those verses about "coming quickly" i get the sense that he is saying that it will catch us off guard. I just hope it doesn't happen until this season of 24 ends cuz I really got to see it.

i'm dealing with the same situation currently. Although at the moment, we aren't really talking...we seem to be drawn together like magnets... It's a difficult one. But JW or not, anyone that starts threatening suicide is not someone to be in a relationship with.

So, why didn't Jesus write anything down?
by poppers interry's thread on who is right - jesus or paul, got me to wondering; why didn't jesus write anything down?
surely he would know that the things he said would be written down at some point, and that this would be the beginning of misunderstanding what he was saying.
secondhand accounts of spoken words have a way of changing dramatically from the original words.

Kristferdeanmartin??? Love it!
I think it's hard to say it was the Jewish idea of deity since many of the Jews rejected Christ and didn't expect deity to come as a humble son of a carpenter.
When you say other cultures idea of deity...can you give me some examples?
If you talk about Bhuddism or Hinduism, it wouldn't be accurate to say since they don't believe in deity like Christians do. If you are referring to Mohammed, he was never referred to as being a deity. Who do you mean?
And the other guy...i forgot your username...but I was saying Faith in our Creator, an eternal, all powerful, holy being. Truth in learning his will and purpose. -

JamesThomas,
Just to clarify, when I say personal relationship, I don't mean that Jesus is my "pal".
What I do mean is what I have been blessed to learn about God through his aid in my life, through nature and the very life I have around me. I believe, and don't expect anyone else to believe, that the Bible is the best understanding we have along with nature, the universe & cosmos of God. Definitely eternal, definitely vast. I can only hope to grasp a glimpse or shred of understanding. I think Jesus was and is that shred. He is who makes God known to us.
God is definitely not for a chosen few but to whoever chooses to open their hearts and minds.
Either that or I AM a nutcase...which by the way, Batman hangs out at my house all the time. -

by GramblingMan ini'm here looking at my wifes watchtower mag and it has a drawing for the angels, maybe it's me but all the angels are white men and they have beards.
i'm oversensitive or is this a message they are sending out to the readers.
i thought the anointed ones are suppose to become angels?

JamesThomas...no offense taken. I understand what you mean. I also think there is a difference between having men tell you what God's divine plan is and trusting in the God you have come to know personally.

I think we need to trust in God's divine plan. I think there is something to be said about an exercise of "faith".
I suppose we can ask, why doesn't Jesus just show up when we have a question and be like "hey guys! Here i am. I am real so I'll see ya when you croak! Any questions?"
I think there is a reason he veiled the eyes of Mary and some of the disciples right after his ressurection. A lot has to be said about someone who makes the effort to search for truth, to care enough and to exercise hope and faith.
