He admitted that it's all about giving busy work to the dubs. Does he not realize that cults regularly do that to their members? Keep them busy and distracted so that the members don't have time to figure out they belong to a mind control cult.
Even when I was a believer, had a heard something like this, it would have really bothered me. To essentially be told that our life saving work is not about saving lives, but it's about keeping ourselves excited, and spiritually upbuilt.

The other day in Buena Park, CA I met Jesus Christ himself! He was walking southbound on Beach blvd and dragging a very large cross with him. . I'm assuming he was on his way to be crucified. It was also interesting to note that he was having a bit of trouble with his loincloth. It was starting to unravel and fall off of him. Fortunately he had two other guys helping him carry the cross so that he could use one hand to keep his loincloth from dropping to the ground.
I forgot to stop and ask him what his views of the trinity are. I'll try and remember next time I see him.
What I saw was true. I've been in California for 4 years now and am no longer surprised by anything I see here.

Don't let any of us crazy apostates scare you off from wanting to find a non-trinitarian group or church to associate with. Just try and stay away from the crazy, controlling groups like the WT.

i was probably 9 or 10 when that movie came out and it literally scared the cheese out of me in the theater.
i was so glad to be a jw at the time because i felt like i just witnessed the power of god and saw what was going to happen to opposers when judgment day came.
I remember during the scene when Indy was confronted by the knife-twirler, then shot him, how everyone in the theatre cheered and clapped. Apparantly, there was some anti-middle-eastern sentiment in the audience.
Hmm I wonder if we went to the same theatre. I seem to remember a lot of cheering and possibly some clapping.
i am watching "independence day" which is one of my favorite movies - i watch it every time it comes on television.
i also really like "beetlejuice," "the american president," and several others that i admit are cheesy but a great deal of fun.
"men in black" is great too.. what are your favorite cheesy movies?

it seems there is not a thing new in dubdumb.. it's all just the same thing over and over.. if it wasn't for the heated political debates here on jwd it would be rather boring all the time.. .
also, we have alot of newbies. when they come in, they may ask something that has been talked about before,
A school teacher, I would imagine, grows tired of the same curriculum, day in and day out, year after year. But each year there is a new group of students that need help in understanding the world that is before them. We are now the teachers, and every day we receive new students. Yes it may seem boring at times, but helping others cope with their escape from the WT cult is a very important job. If we don't do it, who will? Or worse yet, if we don't help, they could return to the j-dubs.
.....according to my father.. he decided to talk to me today about my meeting attendance.
i haven't been to one in 3 months by the way.
so he goes on to give me the usual.."you know where you're supposed to be 3 times a week"......."you're not taking full advantage of jehovah's provisions"....."you shouldn't let anyone discourage you to the point of missing meetings"....that type of stuff.. he then went on to say that if you aren't taking full advantage of what jehovah provides then you're worshipping satan instead of jehovah.
Hey, why not? Satan seems like a much nicer fella than this jehoober guy that takes pleasure in violence performed in his name.
i just came home from picking up my baby from school, and i see a brand new sign posted 4 doors from my house.. "building permit.
issued for the construction of a new kingdom hall of jehovah's witnesses".. i just can't seem to get away from them..

i haven't posted for a while because of poor health and a shattered elbow.
i have limited movement but i am now back at work and doing ok.. missed all of ya.
i am now seeing another doc and hope something can be done for my arm.

We've missed you here at JWD, and we're glad to hear from you. I know all about those 60 hour weeks which are pretty much a standard in the automotive business. I work upwards of 80 on some weeks.
I hope you can cut back a bit and give yourself some much needed rest. The world is a better place with you, so please stick around for a bit longer.
