  Made-Up Rules Dubs Try To Impose On Each Other

  this is in reference to the thread about dubs not having pets.

  although, not a rule from the borg there are ones who would say you should not have pets.

  can you think of other silly made-up rules that someone tried to impose on you?

  My bad,, I meant that in reference to the 2 door 4 door car thing. previously there was an entire thread on the vehicle topic,, that's what I meant.

  Another made up rule: boys and girls can't sit next to each other at the kingdom hall,, it might stumble a single person.

  this has been discussed before, however it was very much enforced in the rural area I lived at.

  Thou must not drive 2 door car, Thou shall drive 4 door car for preaching work.

  here it is the anniversary of my baptism.

  it has been five years since i was baptized and i wish i could take it back.

  i woke up this morning feeling incredibly sad, lonely and whats worse i woke up feeling empty.

  My brother and I were baptized on the same day. I was 18, he was 13. Every year, on the date we were baptized, he sends me a text message to remind

  me of this 'wonderful, special, priviledged, etc. etc. moment.' Makes me wanna puke!!!

  inactive J.W.'s- R they witnesses or not?

  are inactive j.w.s still considered j.w.s or as having left the truth?

  i get confused because some people talk about family members who are inactive, but say that they are not in the truth.

  as mentioned, it depends on the situation. but I believe that officially after a certain times passes, whether it is 6 months or 2 years that person is not considered a witness.

  Obivously someone that's inactive for less than a year will be viewed as "spiritually weak" however someone that's been out for 10 years,, defintely won't be considered

  to be a witness. However there's exceptions,, some familys might view it differently, but as a whole,, inactive are not witnesses.

  For myself, I'm an exception,, I Moved 2000 miles away from my 100 jw relatives,, I'm inactive to the local congregation but my family, being far away, think that

  everything is all fine and dandy.

  I don't know if it's nationwide, but here in california they air South Park on public tv at 11:00 and 11:30 pm mon - fri. This whole thread has me anxious for tonight's episodes.

  that mormon episidoe was hilarious. I also remember an episode that involved people from all religions finding themselves in hell after death. They all

  thought they had the right religion to get them into heaven and were shocked to find out it was only the mormons that chose the right religion.

  I can tell they do their research, as there was a character that said he was a 'practicing jehovah's witness' and therefore should have made it to heaven.
