  yesterday when i was at work the witnesses were in my neighborhood and left a pamphlet on the door.

  what happens when someone knocks on your door and you say that you are dissfellowshiped?

  do they run in terror?

  today i had an eye appointment and while i was waiting i was looking for a magazine to read.

  guess what was there?

  yes two of the awake books.

  Why did the JW's Shun my mother at her funeral?

  my mom had died on december 9, 2005. she had been loyal to that religion for 35 years.

  she had been in a nursing home for the last two years.

  some of the old ladies would come and mom would still write a letter to a "not at home" once and awhile.

  What do you do with all your old Watchtowers and Awake magazines?

  last month my jw mother died and suddenly we have years worth of these marked up, highlighted magazines.

  i thought about throwing them out but then thought maybe i could make christmas decorations for my tree next year out of them.

  how about a list of things i can do with moms old cult books and magazines?

  just curious as i had never really been a true jehovah witness.

  i would think that you make friends and suddenly you don't exist.

  i would think a board like this is a true godsend.

  today i was chatting with one of the jehovah witness men from work.

  he is like a big guy in the hall who can marry other jehovah's.

  anyhow i am wondering if i should ask him if the people at the hall give to the homeless or have an outreach program for the poor.
