I think many of you will return to the religion one day

i don't mean this as an insult, more of a life experience thing.

i saw a lot of people leave in my years there and a lot were angry with the religion and the people, and some even protested the kingdom halls and wrote things in the newspapers.

a lot though, came back in time, as it was just the comfort zone they felt at ease in.

i was watching dr. phil yesterday and they had these women on there who have their daughters entered in beauty pagent contests looking like miniture hookers.

i was stunned when i saw pictures of the one 8 year old girl: more make-up than tammy faye baker, hair pieces, false teeth, fake tan and totally slutty outfits.

she looked like a plastic barbie.

I MC'd a couple of them and I can tell you that the mothers throw a fit if a score is not correct during the competition. I had not done one in over 10 years. I think that the girls are freaked out to see thier mothers go APE at these events. Let them grow up naturally...they have plenty of time for make up and competition later down the road.

It's been 20 years since I have been to a hall. I have not heard from who I thought were friends in over 15 years. I hear what your saying..and it may happen to some...but I will not be one of them. I have a great life with my wife my co-workers and all of the people I meet when I DJ thier events. I could not ask for anything better. I have met some great people on this board and even one that I may have bumped into 20 years ago...and she called me to cheer me up! Again, I could not ask for more!
