hello again friends!.

well it was time again for me to take my weekly dose of apostate faeces and see what it tastes like.

decided to check out randy watters this time (we all love him here) and his little testimony on freeminds.org, titled "what happened at bethel in 1980?

just wondering who on this board believes in hell (flaming hell that is a commonly shared belief by catholics and others) and why.

Poorly written Scripture

when i was reading this passage about six months ago, i had a pair of elders stop by, as my wife, was affraid for my spiritual welfare.. this passage came up as one i had questions about.. .

mat 27:50-54 jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

and, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; .

One scripture i was wondering about that comes to my mind is somewhere in the old testament. pardon me for being so vague. i think it's 1Samuel in chapter 19 somewhere. i THINK. anyways, it says something about God's wicked spirit causing Saul to throw the spear at David. if any of these details are incorrect, forgive me. i haven't read the bible in quite some time, and i've really begun to question it's validity. <----(made up word? i don't know) anywho, thought that was kinda strange, and i'm sure people have their theories about what it means.

i ran into some jws i knew last night and asked them if i could get the latest magazines; no-one seems to call on us anymore!

Safety in numbers bro! and thanx for having the mature loving attitude i would expect from people who didn't get it from their religion and left, trying to find a place where love was abundant ( not referring to anybody in particular). thanx again. If you read S.I.T. first post on this thread you see he starts out with insults. He insults Randall Watters and then the whole board with holier than thou attitude.

Yes, i agree with all your points. and i wasn't attacking all of the people on this board, although i did come off that way. but i'm just saying, just because he does it first, just because he throws the insults first, does not justify anybody to do the same. plz don't defend ur own actions with,"Oh, well, he did it first." well, ur not him. u don't have to be like him, either.

I do believe he is trying to help, and if u don't think so, then i guess you've never been a witness. he's obviously trying to convert back of us to being witnesses using valid arguments. even if insults are thrown in. you can ignore them if u choose to. if not, then you're no better than what you once were, in most of our cases. anyways, sorry if i offended anybody. just saying, the world would be more pleasant without insults, and a whole topic full of them is much worse than one person who throws them.

You get a standing ovation from me. Amen to that, guy. Your post was so right, it's not funny. Unfortunately, most of the people on this earth can't help but retaliate to a difference in opinion by using insults. I really don't care how bad ur experience was being a witness. How you were mistreated. How it's changed ur life for the worst. NONE of these facts justifies namecalling or personal attacks/insults to stillintruth. This is a discussion board, not a third grade classroom. i'm 16, and to see adults acting like this...it saddens me.

Teejay, now i guess you should be expecting the namecalling and insults, as shall i. But to everybody who's "dishing it out", put your balls back in ur pants (figurative, applying to women also) and have a civilized conversation/debate with stillintruth.

many of you left because of the "lack of love" in the jehovah's witness religion. i'm confused...what exactly is being shown by many of you on this discussion board? if it's love, then i never want to be in love.

Feel free to mock me or insult me, seeing as how i really don't care. But please don't do it to people u are trying to help. or who believe they are trying to help you. as teejay said, convincing them of ur point doesn't involve insults of any kind. Plz don't remind me of why i left the jw's by acting exactly as they do, insulting whatever they don't agree with.

Is the Organization really free from racism?

one of the claims witnesses like to make is that they are color-blind, that their religion transcends matters of race and culture.

by and large, i think most "apostates" accept this, though it's all too obvious that witnesses are bigots when it comes to all non-members.. but how true is the claim that witnesses escape racial stereotyping?.

i attended an inner-city congregation with mostly black brothers and sisters.

I always wondered why the governing body was mostly people who were around where russel came up with is ideas. not that i've done much research on the subject. Now that the "truth" is spreading to other countries, why aren't there members of the governing body popping up over there? do they have there own governing bodies? i'm ready to be enlightened on this matter.
