Yep, and I keep searching for Leprachauns...but I don´t think I will find any. But there is always Mars, and maybe Bush will find some there.

One thing I love about Brasil is;
Every city, in every neighborhood has the corner bar(s). In bigger cities you have more fancy and themed places with decent toilets, but mostly in the smaller cities you have those small corner bars with a few tables and chairs and stinky W.C. that hasn´t been cleaned in a year.
Here in Aracaju ( I no longer reside in Rio, but a new city some 800 plus miles up the north-east coast, that has nice little beach houses and hot weather and no natural disasters...oh wait...I´m boasting now...*cough*) it´s a quaint litttle city with nice little neighborhood bars with clean bathrooms. There is a strip of mainroad near the ocean that houses all the typical beach-hut style dance clubs and themed bars as well. Next to my beach house, 4 houses down is a dance/bar/sports T.V. lodge.
But usually somebody in the neighborhood has some sort of festiva going on, so Barb-Q´s on the beach daily, and watching the stars at night or swimming in the ocean with a few good brews is common practice as well.
Envy me.

Has anyone ever personally written to the Society?
by seeitallclearlynow ini've been listening to marlene mercado's audio testimony on jwinfoline while reading and posting here today; and it reminded me that i had written to the society once, years ago, and i received a response.
the response made me angry with them, although they were agreeing with me on something that i was complaining about.
what made me angry was that they made no acknowledgment that they put a lot of pressure on the brothers to reach out and even after they have attained an office of oversight, a lot more pressure is put on the elders and servants to do more, do just so, etc....they claimed that it was my elder husband's own fault that he was barely ever home, and when he was, he was in his den or on the phone with someone who couldn't make any decisions on their own.

Actually, I did once.
I wrote a simple statement:
edited
Juvenile it may seem, but it got my point across about a whole range of topics. Though I´m sure they were quite confused upon recieving such a note, I thought it was one of many ways of vengence for the shit I had to endure as a child. Made me happy too, and resolved a number of issues.

Britain's Real Monarch
by Pleasuredome inbritain's real monarch
startling new facts came to light in research for a channel 4 programme on richard iii.
the historian michael k jones had uncovered what appears to be strong proof that the 15th-century english monarch edward iv was, in fact, illegitimate, thus throwing the legitimacy of all the kings and queens who followed into question.

What is the purpose of life?
by fearnotruth22 inthings were different when you were active in the org.
meetings, talks, service, assemblies, elders meetings, congrgational duties, busy with the hope of a reward of living forever and serving god with eternity in view.
all of your efforts and goals related to being a jw, your thinking, your views, your life, your future all revolved aroung the org.. with all that aside, what are you doing now?

riiiight, many reasons for the US to be hated isn't there? Jealousy, stupidity and let's not forget while you're passing judgement on the US that we'd be more hated if we allowed the horror that was Iraq to exist without going in there.
These sort of condoned comments makes me wonder why anyone from the US would bother posting here.
Hey it´s another: ¨The Big Bad World Hates the U.S. and They Have Proof and Reason, But I Don´t Like It Because It Makes Me Remove My H.F.M.A. So I Will Be A Cry Baby¨ argument from Ms. Smith.
Here is another reason why most of the people in the world (much of which I have traveled and you have not) do not like the U.S.:
Ignorant U.S. citizens who have no clue what their government is doing in the rape of other socities and cultures, and then wine on internet message boards about how they do not understand why people dislike American policies when presented with evidence that prove such.
(Edited for spelling, grammar, and the greasy monke who left his finger prints.)

i don't know why everyone is fussing about individual cases like this.
this sort of stuff is normal in a war, we show it on tv every day.
if we don't want this to happen we need to fix our governments and not have any more wars, not make a drama out of something that was inevitable.
If you are a teenager, I am going to go with this comment as you being extremely ignorant and know not what you type...
If you are an adult, I feel sorry for you.

Feb 15th WT Page 16&17
by stillajwexelder inhey guys we get a mention again in the watchtower of feb 15th 2004. page 16 and 17 paragraph 6-10 "guard against deception by apostates" -- it talks about us believing the bible and even accepting jehovah in paragraph 6 but tha we reject the visble part of his organization.
aren't we bad people?!!
(btw i tried to scan article but my scanner is not working -- sorry) in paragraph 8 it says we resort to deception and half truths and that our words are counterfeit - and in paragraph 10 the brotehrs are warned to love the organization that has taught them and so not to be listening to us apostates on the internet -- for we see clear evidence that gods blessing is upon his visible organization -- so there you have it brothers.
