  i have a good life and i am now worth around 3 million us.

  The greeks have an expression, "money is like fish, you need to spend it when its fresh" Something along those lines. Now that does't mean waste it away more like grown it. People that are wealthy and get more, grow their money, they don't throw it away, and they have assets. Sometimes it may look to us that they throw it away, but buying high end watches, these are assets, something you can pass on to your kids, some can be bought and later sold for more and so on. Grow it, take 3 and turn it into 6.

  The original bible students did wear these types of things before there was an "Organization". The archives in BK show this. I heard a guide tout it as the original Facebook/social network, because the vary few "Bible Students" that existed used it to identify each other out of the crowd. This was way back, wish I had images of it, but they do exist at HQ.

  Frontline: Secret State of North Korea

  this is an interesting documentary just watched on netflix.

  see if you can pick out all the similarities between north korea, and the high control jw.org.. defecting (leaving) not allowed.

  2. Regular (I think it was even weekly) meeting of indoctrination, if you are absent it is noticed and you become suspect. 
  3. All your actions being under close scrutiny by not only the regime, but friends and associates. 
  4. Opinions against the regime punishable
  5. Leaders own uncle shared differing ideas and he was cut off (killed)
  6. Outside information and contact are strictly controlled
  7. And so much more....

  Need advice on a comeback to my wife: when she is in cult mode she says faith without works is dead.

  so i have gotten into arguements with my wife in the past about this cult.

  now a days after reading steve hassan books...i just try and avoid anything jdub with her.

  try to keep her in authentic mode..(not sure she really has one).

  Faith (religion) is and answer to a question no one asked. 
  Muslim radicals have works to their faith...
  Hell they probably have more faith than any other religious person. I'm sure they have similar mantras they have taken from scripture out of or even in context.

  it is the most horrific chapters of the bible and as such my favorites for slapping other jw s with.. to summerize.:.

  I remember through the years always questioning to barbaric bible versus (all scripture is beneficial right?) and having someone like my brother who i respect and look up to give some explanation, and turning off my neocortex and accepting it. It's a standard thing being raised as a witness that when the Historicity, righteousness of the bible or the current jw.org is involved you need to be able to say 2+2=5. Because in your mind you have already said "it has to be 5" so you can come up with any kind of crazy reason for how 2+2=5. It's really the height of cult mind control to make us try to disregard these barbaric versus. I have heard it said that this story was also plagiarized with similarities from the sodom and gamorrah debacle. Similar idea, "hey come out and let us rape you" "um how about someone else, I'll just send them out".

  Astronomers Find Some Other Earthlike Planets Out There

  this is not really anything new, but every time i see one of these articles about earth like planets in habitable zones, i can't help but hear he echo of past indoctrination at wt studies etc saying "oh how unique earth is to be placed where it is blah blah blah impossible odds".

  there are many more articles on this subject that have much less conservative ideas of potentially how many "earth like" planets could be out there, staggering numbers actually.

  I agree, let get it out of the way already and have one of these little grey or green guys stand up so we can all be released from these religious ideals once and for all, unfortunately even then so many would probably still have "faith" they'd try to convert or condemn the aliens, maybe thats why they stay hidden... "home but hiding"
