Literature carts being used in Bonita Springs, Florida now.
by HappyDad ini wondered when it would happen!
twice this past week, they have had the cart set up at the end of the kh property on the main road.
the two people with it were sitting about 100 feet back, in the shade of a tree.

If confronted with a challenge they run. Jw's used to love to argue oh sat 25 years ago, two more generations back they were putting their foot in people's doors. Now they are wasting their life standing by a display and running for the hills if anyone says "boo"! -

I Made the Literature Trolley Run Away Today - Twice
by cofty ini popped into town this morning to buy an anniversary card for mrs cofty.
it is market day on a saturday and it's tourist season so the town was very busy.
here is a picture of the scene from a year ago... two cult carts were in their favourite place being guarded by none other than one of the elders who was on my judicial committee, his wife and another jw woman in her electric disability buggy.

Ever wondered
by NoIdeaWhatToBelieve ini was very hooked on the rc videos, really interesting to watch.
i started questioning stuff a couple of months ago.. however there is still a scenario that makes me wonder.
considering the israelites as god's chosen people and the kings as anointed, the bible shows many bad decisions the people made, including the rulers that were anointed.

It's good. Your doing the right thing. Can't wait to hear your story. Did the ARC have anything to do with moving you to join/read the forum? -

Won't get fooled again ...Moon Landing.
by The Rebel inso i was fooled by the witnesses.
what can i learn from that?
not to accept things at face value but to seek out opinion and different view points.. hence my question " do you believe man landed on the moon?.

It's not possible to have been one of Jehovah's Witnesses without accepting and believing that you are the target of a fairly insane conspiracy theory
That's what I was saying as well. To anyone who was a witness and accepted for a moment it as the truth, the apostates were out to get us in the name of satan.
What that means, to a witness, is the idea of truth outside of the organization becomes it's own conspiracy theory as you described it has become.
To a witness believing anything outside of the org is the truth is like believing in a fanciful conspiracy theory itself. So unless they give themselves permission to entertain the idea. They might never wake up.

Welcome my friend.
I personally do not believe the bible is the word of a supreme being, you still do so I will discuss not how I feel about the bible not being gods word but just about if god did have a chosen people.
Think about Jesus. He showed up on the scene to upset the current chosen people situation no? There are other examples in the bible where justice for corrupt ones was executed. Witnesses will take the David and Saul story and twist that into no matter what you have to follow the GB.
I suggest in all kindness and since you are new and we are happy you are here. Put down the bible for a minute and pick up steven hassans book on cults. Or crisis of concious and see how the organization has dealt with those who stand up for right like Barbara and Ray.
I look forward to getting to know you and hearing more of your thoughts.
