I'm sick of...
by freemindfade ini'm sick of.... ...having an elder i barely know invite himself over to my house, and bring another asshole elder with him, you know, to "see how i'm doing" f-ck them.
...having same elder with all insincerity approach me at the beeting and before inviting himself over, ask, "how are you doing?
" then when i say everything is great, go ahead and invite them selves over anyway.

by freemindfade inthere were so many things wrong with this weeks watchtower, its hard to pick one, but one that really bothered me was this watchtower business and their delivery.
i have never seen them quite have to explain something away like this in a study article like this before.
shows me they are battling people feeling confused.

I suspect the real reason they refuse to use the word rapture, is pride. For too long they have been condemning christendom's rapture teaching as being false so for them to come now and use the word rapture would involve them having to eat humble pie and admit that christendom was right. They can't stomach that so they find some meaningless technicality as an excuse not to humble themselves and use the very word they once shunned.
100% agree. A bunch of arrogant f-cks. -

True _morpheus, if anything good can come of it, maybe the wife will start seeing it as a nuisance and inappropriate, but who knows. -

I think they do notice and their heads spin too, except instead of saying "wtf?" the rank and file turn on the CD. I can hear it in so many comments, like every sunday. The comments sound like excuses and unsure reinforcement that sometimes sounds more like another question than a confident statement.
My wife complains and blames it on the hall, but i think this is probably going on in most places. Shuffling doctrine and walking on "spiritual" egg shells doesn't look good.

yea sorry brother that day isn't going to work for me, saturday is all booked. I'll be worshipping Satan, while having a drunken drug fueled orgy with apostates on a jw.org flag before making and all you can eat blood buffet for the orgy participants...
sorry can't fit you in.
I mean maybe I could squeeze you in between the baal worship, and the bible burning... but it would have to be quick...

Just funny how they have to play the "connotation" card to get their asses of the hook with the R&F

I'm actually feeling pretty good lately, just feeling angry with all this nonsense. last vestiges of my fade are
Sunday beeting with wife
Conventions and assemblies
although this elder wants to stop by before the one day, if it happens I am taking assemblies off the list a little sooner than expected.
I told my wife it disturbs me, and she could see it really bothered me. I played along with the first one and endured it, then oh look we got put in a new group, and this elder moved in from another congo with a bunch of other elders.
I may not have to pull the plug on it, wife might. Just because she sees it pisses me off and she knows I only do it for her.

I have never seen them quite have to explain something away like this in a study article like this before. Shows me they are battling people feeling confused. basically they outline how Lett Morris and the boys will be raptured away, then go into detail how this is not a rapture.
You see, according to them, the connotation of the word "Rapture, is that your physical body goes to heaven, and they don't THATS JUST UNSCRIPTURAL, so because that is the connotation, we don't call it "Rapture"
Give me a break. The idea in general is the rapture, primarily, secondarily, the detail about physical or not, is a smaller component. But after years of railing on doctrine of other religions, when you start teaching them yourselves I guess you have to do damage control...
