hello all, i would like to first say that i am basically questioning my faith in god.
i am not negative towards the wt at all.
so honestly i am to concerned with more ad hominem attacks towards the wt because i still love the organization and the people in it.
Sorry don't mean to be harsh, but what makes me most bitter of all is willful ignorance. Thats the thing that keeps cults and harmful organization and radical religions n business.
“We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.”

at the special assembly day (sad) imitate the desert god.. here is a word for word quote from the co during the baptism talk .
"an intellectual approach to the truth will not lead to everlasting life"....
Looking down into the auditorium too, there must have been a dozen separate contribution boxes just in the main assembly hall down the isles. As I am looking down at this during the session, I was thinking you cannot tell me that is vastly different from passing a plate!
Although like their rapture belief now, they will say its not on a small technicality. But it is. In that talk they said "budgeting to support kingdom interests". So how far away do we think they are from tithing??? I can hear it now.
Rational thinker: "We are tithing now? Isn't that what we've condemned"
Watchtower: "No we aren't"
Rational thinker: "but its pretty similar"
Watchtower: "WE don't tithe"
Rational thinker: "We do!"
Watchtower: "It doesn't have the same connotation, so we don't tithe"
Rational thinker: *googles jehovahs witnesses*

You seem most concerned about the "bitterness" of those hurt by actions of the organizations and less about the reality of those actions. That is really unfortunate. My suggestion about your god questions...
Stay a JW, keep believing the comforting fantasies, and feeding them to other and recruiting more members. Believe those things until you grow old and pass. Don't let go of comforting lies for harsh reality. Wether god is real or not, wether mankind destroys themselves or not, you are better off with your head in the sand.
I want to give you an example of these actions you seem to believe aren't harmful.
Lett goes on JW broadcasting to tell all the loyal follower that the organization does not have a pedophile problem, and anyone saying different is "Apostate Lies"
Jackson is getting grilled by the ARC and admits that it is a problem .
Its a captive religion and a cult. The organization will inevitably harm members to protect the unity and illusion of the group. I think that is fair thing to be bitter over, and there are all shades of it here, I have a friend who walked away and lives a completely "worldly" life now, with no real consequences from the org. He thinks they are crooks, but I would not call him bitter as say someone who lost their entire family and social circle for merely questioning your cult.
If you believe the cult is not guilty of harm, you may as well believe in god and paradise and stop worrying about mankind, because they are all the same fairy tale. You are conditioning yourself to ignore evidence, might as well go all in.
what kind of bible education did the governing body really give us?
how much important information about it did the watchtower really teach us?
how much are we missing out on if we are one of jehovahs witnesses?.

They talked so much about "having the mind of the desert god in your mind" I was thinking why do we have free will.
Other jems from this idiot CO
The purpose of life... the great question...the very meaning of life for humans...why we are here...
"To give praise to jehovah"...
That is the purpose and meaning of life. Fail...
We were created with the intent to worship the creator...really??? If it were all true which none of it is, i'd want no part.

Blondie I think you are correct. But I like the acronym SAD.
There was a part on the symposium about managing your family resources. It was basically about having enough budgeted to give to the organization.
Also the public discourse was blatantly hypocritical. About what God thinKS of religion. Whole thing was patting the organization on the back and trashing other religions for thinga the organization is totally guilty of. It was vomit worthy

in wt study edition december 2015, article called jehovah, the god of communication, par.
as a result, the new world translation is now available in whole or in part in over 130 languages.
to many jw's this will sound impressive.
The "god of communication"???
You mean the desert god they believe threw a hissy fit shortly after the flood to confound communication with "languages" .
The stupidity of religion and the bible knows no limits. It's like stupidity piled on top of stupidity.
