1914 'Big A' WT Retraction/Apology?!
by lurkernomore inso i just met with an old 'friend' who wanted a 'chat' after no contact for the best part of 4 years.
she obviously heard about the wonderful news of my abrupt fade :d. i guess i wanted to prove to myself that any future meet ups/chats with jw's would be pointless.
needless to say i proved myself right.

Does anyone know of anything published by the WT that comes even close to this, as I sure as hell can't think of any written material that had a retraction or apology???!
HELL NO! They blamed the rank and file for the 1975 debacle, not sure if its in print or not, it might be. But they accused over zealous members for creating that buz. But they never have and never will apologize for anything! They are (in their own world) never wrong! Even when they are, its not wrong, its just... "refined".

Nope, we are done thinking like them, that is the beauty. It doesn't matter what you do they twist it into that thinking, more come in, Armageddon is coming, more are leaving, Armageddon is coming! -

Try to look at the positive side pronomono, even if they never change, the people inside are! The more sound reasons and people's examples that are out there of waking up, the better the chances are thinking ones will leave. This can work on many levels, which I hoped to capture with preamble and mission, that this is to draw attention to the human rights violation, and the allow US to express ourselves. For those of us dying to DA, it could give us some relief, just writing and sending the letter, even if its only symbolic for now, for others it could be a test run, and for some it may be the moment they get the courage to do it! It has potential

Brokeback: Interesting thought, but I think we need it to stay true to an individual nature, the more variety the better. personal touch, they should be indistinguishable from other 'snail' mail communications.
TheWonderofYou: Lets do it.
December 10th. Human rights day. This will carry the most media potential as well I believe.

MORE LIES!!!
wow. I hate this religion. They have no problem out right lying. I know they do for a fact, maybe not "official deaf database" but I know many who were involved in specific congregations and territories for the deaf. wow. How do you have a 'deaf territory' without a list/database/something keeping track of where they are.
When they find the data base, witnesses will say oh that? That's not a database, thats not what we call it, its blah blah blah. See we didn't lie.
f-ck your lying cult.

Another thought for today, in the way we are doing this, if we can show how many are anonymously expressing their desire to leave, if that number is much higher than those that actually DA, that should send a powerful message out that this religion is not playing nice... -

I feel December 10th is the best day, i think we need to settle on a date and move along with the next pieces.
The human rights issue I think is at the root of what makes this organization 'evil'. Yes there are many things they do wrong, and are wrong about etc. But the crux of it is the fact it is a captive religion. Their policies of shunning/disfellowshipping/apostasy etc I feel violate Article 12 and 18 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
I will also write this into the mission, that this action we take is to bring attention that an american based organization systematically violates human rights, while being protected under the very Declaration they disregard. The mass DA needs to reach the HQ, the local level and the media to bring this cause to a head. Its not a doctrine issue, or a difference of opinion that has brought us to this point, it is the captive and abusive nature of this group that hides behind standards it itself cannot keep.
Cappy... what date should we set for the site to be complete? And what else do we need to get it going?
