Hypocrisy of JW Thinking After Tragedy Like Paris
by freemindfade init never has ceased to boggle my mind how twisted up jw thinking is.
when they see something like what happened in paris, in person they will express how sad and detestable it is quickly followed by "this is why we need the kingdom, and the desert god is gonna fix everything.
" here is where i get perplexed.

JWS should acknowledge they have more in common with isis than many people.
Two ways people will get to the panda petting zoo by jw reasoning, 1. Becoming a cult member or 2. Taking the big dirt nap. They way I see it JWS should thank jihadists for insuring people wake up in paradise. It's sick but when you think about it that's what it is

Your "jehovah" solution to this violence that you seem to be appalled by would likely require that all of those shot by the terrorists would end up being killed by the big J instead, also all those wounded, yep, big J smites them as well... then beyond that BILLIONS of regular people die horrific deaths, all in order that jihadist maniacs no longer plague mankind.
How do witnesses not see the warped nature of that? You are sad innocent people died, your solution? die at gods hand instead with billions of other innocents.
So why be sad. They were in Jehovah's cross hairs anyway to die at Armageddon. These psychopaths just gave them a ticket to paradise.
Jehovah's Witnesses don't have the right to feel bad about innocent people dying that they view as unfit for life to begin with. Your solution kills them anyway.

Are the horrendous killings in Paris part of a religious practice?
by clarity inislam is a religion of war, not a religion of peace .
seems there are many religions who do not tolerate other groups.
this statement "islam is a religion of war, not a religion of peace" reminded me of what was said at a watchtower convention in 2013 ....using a chilling example of how they condone dis fellowshipping & the soul killing practice of shunning!

Abrahamic religions are all vile.
Islam seems to be hanging on to the dark ages tightest.

Never Bring a Knife to a Drone Fight
by LoveUniHateExams inapparently, it's good news, everybody - mohammed emwazi (aka jihadi john) has been targeted by a us drone strike.
the location was in raqqa, syria, a few yards from isis hq, near a clock tower where crucifixions are carried out.
there are conflicting reports, some say he died instantly at 11:40pm yesterday, others say that he was badly injured and taken to a nearby hospital.. from what i've previously read about emwazi, he was apparently terrified of being targeted by drones - yesterday it seems his nightmare was made reality.

Freedom in admitting the truth...
by _Morpheus infor those that lurk or havnt decided to post yet.... living a lie is difficult.
nobody would likely disagree with that... many of us lived or are living the wt lie for the sake of friends or family.
it can eat at us and put us in situations where we frame half truths, try to find tactful way to avoid telling people what we really think.. there is great freedom in being able to admit truths.

Happy Veterans Day! (America)
by freemindfade inpeople have varied and strong feelings about politics and wars, but you can't deny the courage a sacrifice of our veterans.
too often they do not get the honor they deserve.
in this country once they come home their sacrifice and heroism is too quickly forgotten.

I know you feel super righteous shadow playing quarter back from the sidelines, but you really have no room to speak on this. No one is denying the ugliness of war or how often the motives and those insulated from suffering cause them. But speak to some ww2 vets. A lot of them saw a maniac bulldozing across Europe and were moved to act. People call them the greatest generation not because they had or started two world wars but because of the stuff they were made out of. And the ways since whatever pollitical nonsense was going on in the background it's no reason to disrespect those who suffered because of it.
