What if history repeating itself us Islam torturing and killing in the name of God. History repeating itself does have to be the same religion. Islam is repeating the past mistakes of Christianity if you will. But when they were burning heritics and killing unbelievers most people were illiterate and it was totally the people doing it. It's less about equal rights. freedom to practice and freedom to criticize are not the same. People are making a huge outcry for simply criticizing a belief system. That is powerful. That's what keeps jws in business the fear of critics.

whether or not you have religion or not, good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things. But to have "good" people do bad things, that takes religion.
The message of a religion is important as its followers are already conditioned to believe nonsensical fantasies. The message of Islam itself is not peaceful in anyway, so you have devout people following the book and prophet they revere. The book and the prophet are both despicable.
When the extremists (religious theocratic core) of Islam want to dip into the pool, they are dipping into the 1.6 million or so moderates. In other world religions people are generally not threatened with death (honor killing) for leaving, this seems to be allowing those to grow up as a religion or out of it, losing the fantasy. So in general the only world religion not growing up and out of this nonsense of the past is Islam. Its just growing.

Somehow we have twisted being able to criticize a religion with peoples right to practice it.
