this guy took over the exjw meetup.com group i follow and just sent out this email to all of us.to all members : i stepped in as an organizer to save the group in the hopes of connecting with other believers.

it appears that after leaving jehovahs witnesses you all have given up your promise to spend the rest of your lives serving god.

that now your free to just do whatever you want!

I became and infinitely happier person when I came to terms with atheism ie no believing in god.

America - Do They Teach Science in North Carolina?

i don't know whether to laugh or weep.

us town rejects solar panels amid fears they 'suck up all the energy from the sun'...... jane mann, a retired science teacher, said she was concerned the panels would prevent plants in the area from photosynthesizing, stopping them from growing.

ms mann said she had seen areas near solar panels where plants are brown and dead because they did not get enough sunlight.

What's More Important...Taking care of immigrants or the needy in your country?

i say take care of the needy ones first like our veterans and homeless and mentally ill, and then....take care of those not from this country.

Immigration is good. I think the outcome for both legal and illegal can be good. I am a product of Irish and Italian immigrants.

I agree with minimus we don't take care of our own. But we are about to bend over backwards and make it rain on a big group that really doesn't like us much.

This current situation is something unique. They are not escaping one idea to have another they are bringing the idea with them. Trust me. Some care and time should be taken before letting them all in. You can only do the best you can do. We should be doing our best not rolling out the red carpet for dangerous folks. You can't deny the majority are devout Islamic coming from an area that is an incubator for terrorists. Why not be extra cautious?

the usa is undoubtedly the strongest military power in the world, and has often been willing to use that power against other nations, some historians count 187 foreign wars in 200 years, and this youtube video lists the wars the us has fought in the twentieth century, most of which, (in the earliest part of the 20th c) it can be argued, were won by the usa.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q51nfakme-g. this is not an argument about the rightness or wrongness of any war.

the argument is why the mightiest ever military power, a political power that controls overwhelming destructive forces, a power that claims to stand on the side of its god, does not win wars?
