  When the cartoon begins Sophia puts out what her teacher has explained to her about the same sex couple (not discrimination) upon hearing this Mom makes the case to change that perception.

  “Carrie drew two mommies,” “She told me they’re married to each other. My teacher says that all that matters is that people love each other and that they’re happy"

  “Hmm. Well, people have their own ideas about what is right and wrong,”. “But what matters is how Jehovah feels. (Your teacher is wrong).

  Then comparing gay people to contraband luggage is pretty low. If you don't think that's too much, that's fine Simon, you are free to feel that way. Yes the video uses metaphors over overt language but the message is clear. metaphor or not.

  Can you tell us what discrimination is being taught

  I think the airport illustration pretty much hammered that one home for most people. Homosexuality is pin pointed and the value of the lives of a homosexual are portrayed as less (that is unless they leave their bags behind).

  If this were the time of racial segregation in america, I would rather be accused of being "overly outraged" by anything promoting racial discrimination then later being accused of defending any vestige of it as "not that bad" regardless of the forum, the reason, or the prevalence.

  Bible condones slavery too, probably more than it condemns homosexuality. If Watchtower makes a cartoon about slavery should we not be "over outraged" because everyone knows that's in the bible?

  The video teaches discrimination.

  If mom and dad owned a business and expressed openly the belief that someone couldn't get into the company based on their sexual orientation it would be sex based discrimination and considered harassment

  No this scenario is not exactly the same, its a religion, and they are saying its the big J who discriminates and will effectively kill the same sex couple at Armageddon. It promotes to children the idea that homosexuality is deviant choice made by someone who will be killed by god. The reasoning is very clear.

  Same sex couple will not make it to the panda petting zoo, what is Sophia doing to do? Tell their child about the panda petting zoo. She is not going to bring it up in order to mind her own business and live and let live.

  This subject presented in a work environment from a HR perspective would be pretty clearly discrimination.

  yes the bible is homophobic, that's not new, but this video is interesting because it has made very public Watchtower's (practically a political) stance on same sex marriage. In the past yes they may condemn homosexuality, but at a time when same sex unions are center stage of politics and media they have taken a side addressing not homosexuality, but the union. I don't think its too much to be impressed that people like George Tekai are talking about it, and I don't think its too much to think that its portrayal of childhood indoctrination to discriminate is disgusting. But too each their own.

  i want to spare you a long post about my background.

  because this topic is about something else.a small information is that i knew ttatt before i got married.

  but then i somehow pushed it back for quite some time because i didnt want to change my life and it was convenient to instantly meet new people when you move into a new city.couple of years into my marriage and seeing all the changes in the jw my thirst for ttatt resurfaced.

  If it was not knowing TTATT that held your marriage together then it was held together with lies.

  Life is short, if she wants to be with other dudes and you you don't like it let her go. There is too much good stuff out there to be stuck in a situation that isn't beneficial to both of you. Its not fair to either of you. If you both start to learn to live honestly with who each of you really are, it may break up your marriage, but maybe you will find out that you can be friends and move on to find someone that will want to be with you exclusively without fear of punishment or reward of paradise.

  Time to start being real.

  It was like the dribble I heard yesterday at the beeting whilst accompanying the wife, essentially this is how witnesses do question and answer.

  "We jehovah's witnesses encourage questioning things... here is a watchtower list of approved questions to ask about yourself and your faith." "You can repeat back to us the answer based on that!"

  i have thought about writing this article for many years, and the awake!

  2014 no.4 was the final straw.

  there it states that jehovah's witnesses show no prejudice towards homosexuals, and "they neither mock nor mistreat people whose practices differ from their own.

  NYC is my favorite city!

  If you don't mind spending the cash* and taking a trip, if you want a real italian food experience, go to Don Pepe's in ozone park queens, lots of friends of mine are there, and that is an experience you can write home about

  Not sure what you lik . Everyone is different. A walk across the Brooklyn bridge at the right time is amazing. Also Brooklyn bridge park is really nice now to stroll through.

  Central park is a must. Its giant so I suggest this route to see the best of it. Start at the south east corner and go north into the park. Make sure you go through "The Mall" check out the fountain. Make your way up and go to belvedere castle.

  High line park is a cool place to take a nice walk and you have Chelsea market right there.

  Brooklyn brewery is a blast. Then you can strol around williamsburg with the hipsters have some Oddfellows I've cream. Momma is amazing give your self some time to spend there. Don't do central park and that the same day. If you are in the area take a peak inside grand central central.

  For legit places to eat and drink message me. If I was up there at the moment I'd show you around. I have some places in red hook you need to go to. But I'll talk about that in PM its a lot of detail. I can find out what youd be into etc. Also this lol enjoy!
