I find something interesting, I see a lot of messages saying things like "we are defiant". And a lot of inspirational quotes about being unaffected by this sort of thing. Is this starting to become a joke? Do you think ISIS or any brain damaged islamists is saying

"rats, it didn't work, look they are sharing inspiring quotes that they don't care"

And what the hell are you defiant against? Hateful scumbags in your own country? It's your god damn country, not theirs. I get the spirit of it, but it sounds silly. "Defiant".

I don't know, just struck me. This whole watch me go about my day unaffected mentality I don't think is sticking it to the terrorists the way people on twitter and the so on think it is.

i'm all for religious freedoms.

i am not for a religious organization demanding freedoms from the government that they in turn take away from their own members.

why should the organization get religious freedom when they take that very thing away from it's members?.

Banned is pretty harsh. Any pseudo-religion (JWS, Scientology, etc), or established religion (Islam) that violates member rights of freedom of religion, should lose their "religion" status. They should receive no benefits as a religious group or charity, they should be taxed into non-existence.

I agree with your reasons why 100% but a ban is too totalitarian. Freedom of speech is more important, but they should be held accountable for being shit-weasels in some way.

You can have 1 single factual story, on the one hand, a CNN will give selected details, then give you the narrative approved opinion that is unquestionable from their standpoint. The same story will be presented by the opposite end of the idiot spectrum, FOX, they will also give selected details and weave their narrative. Did either lie? Well the details they gave about the stories were true, granted each omitted certain aspects, and the opinion is just that, not fact or fiction, just... opinion.

The reason this whole "fake news" fiasco exists, is mainstream media stopped being reporting, it's now

There is news out there that reports the WHOLE story without forced narrative opinion. It's just not coming from the major networks.

I trash CNN more than Fox because Fox always has been a farce to me, but CNN is leading the charge in turning sound, liberals into the wacky left we see running things today. I hate them BECAUSE so many people feel they are decent solely for the reason they hate Trump so much.

Actually that's what theists say. To believe in god you are making massive assertions about our universe with zero evidence. Atheists have the intelligence and humility to "say I don't know" when its warranted. That's how we learn, progress and discover.

I think "fake news" has become a broad term. Like I have always considered fox fake news and recent years now put CNN in the same category. I don't think criticizing them is always "they lied" about a specific fact, rather they aren't reporting news but shoving an opinion down your throat. CNN and Fox they do that big time. If you read headlines from the two extremes they will be promoting their own agenda and opinions sometimes off the same facts. Including some info excluding others. I think CNN's cozy relationship with the DNC that was exposed this year showed them to be the lapdog of the democratic party. Just like Fox has been of the GOP. The CNN thing was another level. There is a reason MSM is one of the least trusted institutions. CNN race baiting is nauseating too

Car is still a pretty deadly weapon, so is a plane, bigger car and a bigger crowd things could have been much worse. The Nice attack didn't involve a gun or bomb and managed to kill 86 people and injure 434.

Contrast that with the heavily armed San Bernadino attackers who killed 14 and wounded 22.

I don't think there is ever a correlation on the method. The degrees of carnage always vary depending on all factors of the attack.

it just needs to stop, reading some of the things this asshole was involved in and said I have no clue how the hell he was walking around London. wtf?
