it really grinds my gears that these types of things are what witness apologists say "of that's one brothers crazy ideas" or "in that hall" "imperfect men" and on and on they downplay it but the truth of this matter is that these things are the majority of people running the congregations. And these nonsensical rules are part of the fabric that keep it together and keep the followers in F.O.G. I hate that so much. This org is so double faced at its root.

The majority of elders are men who are nobodies in day to day life. I know some that are not. And they are definetely a different breed. But most are NOBODIES. being an elder to them amounts to being "somebody" and even if they doubt likely they won't even entertain it or the facts because even if it was all wrong they won't give up this small fish bowl where they feel like somebody with a big briefcase. I have heard this Said from the elders mouths in many ways. When I had a Shepparding call recently the two Bros were not nobodies. In fact one is a major player in pop culture for the last 60 years. He told me people in the organization are idoit's lol. In the Shepparding call! He also said most elders are basically losers who are elders because they are not skilled and this is there only way to have a title. Yea me as well, the worst part for me is I have a large family I am (was) very close to. And overnight I am treated like satan. I have good days and bad days. Taking 35 years of amazing relationships and waving goodbye is not easy, even though I am not DF'd or DA'd. I have thought it would be better for my mental state to DA, but I have a handful or more of very good friends that I would lose also who have no idea whats going on. -
