Why doe New light tick me off???? Next 2 weeks WT Studies

if you have been a jw for 20+ years you may remember that the wt went into great detail on different illustrations that jesus used and the "type/anti-type" ridiculous explanations.

remember the revelation book and how those obscure jw conventions of the past pictured big things in heaven and the opening of seals?

anyway, the wt lessons for the next two weeks do two big things for me.

this is what the second president of the watchtower society, the channel of god appointed in 1919, wrote about the mother's day:.

Just a handful of years Closer to Fine they trashed ALLLLL social media to no end. In fact at that time, the holier than thous in my family criticized myself and others for having accounts it was a big to do. The Org hasn't said go to social media, but they have completely stopped the campaign AGAINST and so now there is a green light. So all those people who once criticized me for being on social media, are on, and have now shunned me for not putting JW propaganda. I believe the Org is keeping its mouth shut just in case this backfires in anyway, so they can blame the RF, "see remember we told you a long time ago social media was dangerous!!"

But for now its working for them, but also I believe against, there is a lot of thought provoking TTATT out there on social media.

Things did not go well... with every witness there is a cognitive dissonance threshold. Depending on how they view you, they may speak freely about things that bother them, if you cross the threshold they will bury you in their CD. They will never speak a whisper of anything critical to you again. What I am getting at is this:

If they still trust you, and your approach is gentle enough, they may tell you how it really makes them feel (I have feeling way more witnesses are uncomfortable with this than they show)

If they think you've crossed the line, they are gonna tell you that you are crazy and its the best thing since Jesus effing Christ. So to find out their true feelings you need to be careful what, and how you say it. If they catch a whiff of "apostasy" or TTATT, your locked out. FMF

Love their double standard, others make errors, witnesses make new-light... out their @$$hole!

At least what Newton did could be built off of in the ever questioning and improving science, unlike religion that says today "NOW we know EVERYTHING... then tomorrow oops, NOW we know EVERYTHING... shucks missed again, engage new light, oh and we weren't wrong just refining the TROOF."

I think it's so distasteful. But I have been outright told people in my family feel like I left th truth ages ago because I don't post pics on social media at the conventions, showing off new releases, etc. They thought I stopped going to meetings and conventions. How insane is that???? I have never posted that crap even when I was being a good R&F.

i know there are many posts discussing the may money requesting televangalism...er... broadcast i mean!

but i wanted to start one where anyone can put what they have heard any non-exjw, non-apostate witnesses say good or bad about the broadcast.

i don't see how it can't rattle followers... but then again i might be surprised how they can twist things (2+2=5).

Yep NewYork44M from a business perspective you don't talk like that then back it up with vague numbers and a fake graph going up. As a professional that part of is so insulting. You want to talk frank about finances and fiscal things, then do it! They did anything but.

somebody on another thread suggested that those still in could express their opinions on steven lett's performance.

i am still in and i was shocked, dismayed and saddened by it.

i became a witness over 30 yrs ago and the issue of donations was a non-issue for so many years.. now, it is a huge one for the org.

As with many of you, I have the same elephant in the room with my wife where we don't engage in speaking about these things, even though these last 6 months I don't say anything, if she catches me watching the broadcast I might as well be watching pornography lol "why are you watching that!!!" Obviously its a combination of her thinking how this nonsense will look to me, and maybe how it actually makes her uncomfortable, anyone that can watch those videos at the end and not say "wtf" deep down inside even underneath the CogDis, is mentally ill.

I can see it playing out this way, the GB has trained the RF for years to give what they feel is enough, so a lot say "I don't have anything to give so i don't have to." When the funds don't increase maybe their message will get more and more blunt. They will point the finger more at their stingy followers and accuse them of effing up the work.
