i have not meet all atheists, and it would be foolish for me to assume that all atheists, share the same prototypical view points.

i am inclined to feel that this classifies the views of a large percentage of atheists.

I must say you guys are all master-debaters.

If no one ever invented God myths, and the word "god" never came into existence, we wouldn't credit God with anything or debate even his existence, we would just look to define the natural world the way that SCIENCE does not RELIGION. There would be no God and no atheist, only the unknown and the work of defining it.

for example, the sun rises and the sun sets, lets figure out how it works... like for real.

Can't you guys see the theists are driving us mad. the word god should be banned. Unknown is just that. until you know it, and 100% of the time so far when we know it, it turns out it not GOD.

When the WTS saw Catholic Church abuse being exposed

there was a time when the abuse issues in the catholic church were first starting to be exposed.. now, they were fully aware that they had the exact same issues that they too were covering up.. what did they choose to do?.

they could have "learnt" and said "man, that looks bad and we know we have the same problem - but at least we can learn something and put processes in place to make sure we clean up our act".. they could have done nothing themselves but refrained from criticized the catholic church knowing that they had the same skeletons in their own closet.. what did they actually do?.

they wen't full guns criticizing the catholics for something they knew they were completely guilty of as well, painting themselves as 'the good guys where this sort of thing would never happen' but the only processes they put in place were to tighten up how cover-ups were managed and to make sure the local elders knew how to silence any incidents.

Why I believe in God. Why I don't believe in God.

hi i am delighted to be apart of the community.. having left the witnesses one of my first challenges was my believe in god.

naturally.. i have concluded that i am alive and conscious.

now my intuition tells me god exists, but my analytical thinking tells me god does not exist.

When you embrace the facts and live accordingly it's awesome.

Good not god.

Just settle in the what we know so far about our natural world and what we keep learning. When we credit the unknown with "God" we are putting blinders on. Embrace the unknown about our world and ourselves and start really learning about who and what we are and be excited the more we replace "god" with real understanding.

I think a better question would read "did the Mesopotamian myth of a global flood originate with these civilizations lost to the Persian gulf". Often these things reveal the origins. Not proof a myth was factual.

It's only my opinion. But I think we will see a new generation of exjw "apostate".

I think maybe the older ones. Were most fearless and they found informaton and acted in times when information wasn't as readily available.

Then there are those in their 30's like me and some other I know. We came into the information age. And weren't born in. I feel we are awake and pissed. Often stuck. Embedded by spouse and family and already our youth sacrafice to this shit.

Then this young group. Very decisive about living honestly. Raised in the info age. Maybe the least vitriol of the three demographics. Still young different atmosphere different experience. I hope all the you people snap out of it and wake up before they get embedded in decades of family and friends.

None of this is fact just gut feelings of mine. We all share similarities no matter how old or young. But we all also have different generational aspects on this cult.
