Need the hardest evidence possible that humans have lived for more than 6000 years
by ILoveTTATT2 insince coming out of the witnesses, i have gone through a transformation in thought and in mind.
i started with the usual: i thought that jesus was god.
then i investigated more about the bible and thought that the bible was not true, given the many contradictions, failed prophecies, etc.. then i investigated evolution and read lots and now i accept evolution and natural selection as things that are true.. now, i need to make my dad rethink everything.

Its really weird
by SpunkedTeen ini tried testing my family by mentioning that a member of the gb was summoned to appear in front of the royal commission and i found it really weird how they reacted.they dismissed it saying its just satan attacking the 'truth' and i could not believe how ignorant they are.they all think that the organization did nothing wrong or even that jw's abuse their children.

Won't get fooled again ...Moon Landing.
by The Rebel inso i was fooled by the witnesses.
what can i learn from that?
not to accept things at face value but to seek out opinion and different view points.. hence my question " do you believe man landed on the moon?.

Shunning inactive JW? I never heard about it before....
by Albert Einstein infrom many of your posts ive noticed some of you, who never were df or da are practicaly shunned by your family memebers or congregation memebers.
does that really mean they wouldnt talk to you or greet you, if they meet you on the street or if you call them?.
i live in eastern europe and i never in my life heard about such attitude.

shunSHən/verb- persistently avoid, ignore, or reject (someone or something) through antipathy or caution.
Its more like ignoring, or silent treatment, avoidance, etc.
This is exactly what is happening to me. I live in a different place as most of them, however, they all left my social media (around the same time). Me texts are ignored, or I get a superficial perfunctory response from some, from others nothing. My cousin literally told me, if I wanted to call and speak to her she would talk to me, but would not do anything socially.
Mind you none of them even know I am inactive. I am not DA'd not DF'd and my family has no idea about my status in the congregation. For something I said I have indeed been marked by them as dangerous and shunned as an apostate.
Also as I was pointing out last night to my spouse that JW's live in a despicable world of shunning. Not dfing related, just in general, it's so ingrained in their doctrine that they make it a much more common practice. They don't like the way you looked at them? You are more liked? Less liked? whatever, they will ignore you.
The shunning scale just gets more severe the closer you get to disfellowshipping, otherwise witness are fickle and petty, they will ignore you for watching the wrong movie or listening to the wrong music.
