Having One Of Those "Pondering Disassociation" Days :(
by freemindfade inthere are a lot of things that make me have days like this, the utter embarrassment of being are part of a cult that protects child abusers, that enforces emotional brutality through shunning, and that lies constantly.
the lying i can tolerate, the world is built on bullshit, i have a high lie tolerance.
i can ignore it if it has no effect on me etc.

you guys are too nice
I think more and more people are not taking it serious. I can feel it, and some (like my super zealous family) they were like their own congregation. To them JW=family and family=JW. They will stick to the bitter end.
A lot of others I really believe are uncomfortable, not even by the scandal, but just the radical identity change of the org. This may get them browsing, and learn about the scandal. However in a totalitarian "thing" like this, everyone is scared to death to speak honestly and uncensored, so its impossible to know how many are starting to wake up. But I believe its gonna start picking up. Its just such a slow careful process for most.

The win-win is what most people want, to be able to freely choose for themselves which direction they want to go and to have the support of their loved ones. They don't allow for that option and therefore losses will occur. If we stayed in and kept playing the fading game we would lose respect for ourselves because of giving in to someone else's wishes for us and we'd be fake like them. If we left, at least we walked away with something.
this is a great explanation of it.
Also the quote
"Is the life you're living worth the price you're paying?"
I think for a while it was that way I was in a good fading point, but the blow out with the family and the gradual decent has made this less clear, and I need to take that to heart because it makes sense. Its starting to become a deficit, I'm beginning to pay too much, especially mentally and emotionally .

Take it from your mobster brother over here, the less info you give the better, yes that drives people nuts, but reassure them in other ways. Get across that finish line to adulthood without blowing your cover. -

Won't get fooled again ...Moon Landing.
by The Rebel inso i was fooled by the witnesses.
what can i learn from that?
not to accept things at face value but to seek out opinion and different view points.. hence my question " do you believe man landed on the moon?.

Sorry but I hate to be the person to point out certain things because it sounds like I support conspiracy,
But public funding and not public funding are two completely different things. Now to my knowledge NASA gets no off the record funding, but you know who does? Lockeed SkunkWorks. Why are people so naive to think the government wants to honestly show them everything they do? You guys are giving the tin foil hat wearers fuel.
If there was a strategic purpose for it, the funding would be there, visible or not. The public view of how money moves and works, and why people do certain things is funny. The government is no different than the mob, or wolf of wall street types, everything involving money has a reason.
So maybe a better reason behind it taking so long to go back is it doesn't benefit anyone now. Who's gonna pay for that?

Experiences Of Speaking To Another Awake Witness Without Knowing It
by freemindfade inthis is interesting, i would love to hear of some experiences.
i was speaking with someone offline about their talking to someone and coming to find out that person was waking up/awake too.
the reason i find it interesting, is because it is such a fragile situation, a dance where the two people don't trust each other enough to just speak freely like they are afraid of being turned into the kgb.

And really for good reason. But I would love to hear other peoples stories of how they were talking to someone and had to do this careful back and forth discussion only to find out in the end they are both awake to the cult BS. -

yea she is a pioneer, and no she leaves me alone.
I feel worse for my friends in the hall (new hall new state since december, came in as inactive, but still got in with the cool crowd via my charisma ) For them its seems very confusing, because they love to come over and do stuff, but with some i can sense they feel strange that I am inactive, I don't go out, i miss meetings, etc.
