  Black Hawk down is a fantastic true story based on the battle of Mogadishu. So many acts of selflessness, especially the two Delta Force snipers, Randy Shughart and Gary Gordon who lost their lives trying to guard the helicopter crash survivors. Powerful stuff. I haven't seen Lone Survivor yet but will. I heard it was also very good.

  Well said Simon. Even when you hear of stories of how units of soldiers worked together and fought and died together just trying to survive a few hours, or over night in horrific situations you can't help but feel deeply impressed by their spirit of friendship and loyalty to each other.

  @tim310rd I agree, one of the most difficult things to stomach is the VA issues. There needs to be serious reform and better funding for Veterans Affairs.

  While fools obsess over Lamar Odom (no disrespect to Lamar) having an overdose at a whore house and how it affects the goddamn Kardashians, wounded warriors are getting NO headlines for their heroism and sacrifices. It's sad but I do my individual best to pay respects to service men, women and k9's. I have the utmost regards for you all.

  I would like to give a personal thank you to my man SecretSlaveClass, I don't know of all the ones on this board that have served, but i know he did and he is a really cool dude as I am sure all would agree. Thanks bro, I appreciate you

  Long Story of my Life/Experience

  also, my wife has come to her limits of understanding me about the witnesses related grief i have been having.

  she has told me many times to stop reading the ex-witness sites because i get depressed and become angry, which sadly is true.

  it's not very productive to be sad throughout the entire day and then shout at your wife for the reason she has no first hand experience about, therefore how could she possibly know and help?

  Welcome. You have taken your next step towards reading these things without anger and sadness. When you find support and friends here and when you are allowed to freely express yourself it's takes time but you will be less sad and angry. It's something you need to go through to have peace.
