Evolution doesn’t explain an orderly universe with suitable physical laws, A fine-tuned universe, including initial conditions and physical parameters necessary for carbon-based life, a suitable planet, such as Earth, orbiting a suitable star and capable of supporting life and the existence of life in the first place. It also doesn’t explain the self-awareness of man and how one creature seems to have domain over this planet.
oh my. I don't know where to start with this. I think you have listened to one too many Sunday talks. How do you define "fine tuned"?? Do you know the earth has literally destroyed itself in 5 mass extinctions? It was not fine tuned, it was a mess and still is in ways. it wasn't created for people, we've been here in a fraction of the last second of its existence.
Lets take probably the biggest one, some 251 million years ago when 96% of earths species were lost.
Known as “the great dying”, this was by far the worst extinction event ever seen; it nearly ended life on Earth. The tabulate corals were lost in this period – today’s corals are an entirely different group. What caused it? A perfect storm of natural catastrophes. A cataclysmic eruption near Siberia blasted CO2 into the atmosphere. Methanogenic bacteria responded by belching out methane, a potent greenhouse gas. Global temperatures surged while oceans acidified and stagnated, belching poisonous hydrogen sulfide. “It set life back 300 million years,” says Schmidt. Rocks after this period record no coral reefs or coal deposits.
Doesn't sound like fine tuning to me.
Galaxies collide, asteroids plow into planets, how is that fine tuned?
Also earth is special but not as special as the watchtower is telling you. There are many more planets in habitable "Goldilocks" zones than we ever knew in the past.

- There is no church of evolution
- There is no contract to sign into that swears you to believing it (ie baptism or billion year contract)
- Evolutionists don't offer free home biology study.
- Evolutionists won't behead anyone for not believing
- They aren't counting their hours for speaking about evolution
- I guarantee no person believing in evolution has ever knocked on someones door in the morning, or traveled around the globe trying to establish churches of evolution.
You comparing presenting science based evidence to "proselytizing" is utterly ridiculous.
And cofty is right
Evolution is not synonymous with atheism. Many intelligent believers accept the fact of evolution.
So often it seems evolution is implied synonymous with atheism and then both are presented as some sort of "religion". The problem is when you don't take of the God/religoous glasses everything appears a certain way.

Having Jehovah as a friend.
by Darkknight757 ini've always found it amazing that people can say with such conviction that jehovah is their friend.. we are talking about a "friend" who perhaps daily "tests" us to see if we are his friends.
all of us have dealt with some form of hardship such as the death of a loved one, chronic illness or whatever.
it is in these cases that the brothers will tell a person that perhaps it is a test, or that "jehovah knows you're not ready" or some other lame excuse.. do our real friends "test" us to see if we will be loyal to them?

A sincere message to those from the organisation monitoring my posts....
by stuckinarut2 inso, i know there are some from my congregation or from bethel who monitor my posts..... maybe you're looking for something to catch me out?.
just a question: rather than trying to find fault with me, have you stopped and looked into the issues or facts about the organisation that caused me to come to a place like this forum??.
facts are there for anyone to find nowadays....one just has to be willing to pull their head out of the sand.....

Suffering from an org doesn't necessarily delete it's validity
You are a victim of the worst kind of brainwashing. Any organization can have good or bad effects. Even groups we find appalling and dangerous have turned people around from "bad" things. All that being said none of this has to do with validity either. What makes jws valid? If you were a Mormon you'd be saying the same thing. Or a branch dividian. Or a nazi. Or a radical Muslim. What makes your beliefs so valid????

I can understand his ambiguity.
We don't know whats on the back end. Someone he knows could have called him by his user name, mentioned something he said. Its not that unusual. I know someone this just happened to. They took screen shots and sent them to him for christs sake!
Its not that odd

Anyone who claims witnesses don't stalk potential defectors, what do you base this on?
Granted I may not know anyone reason headquarters would monitor and individual (unless its a big hitter that they send their trademark goons after). But on a small scale relatives and elders? No? I know of such instances and in a wacky religious cult it is nothing unusual.

For those stalking stuckinarut2:
You need to take a real hard look at the pathetic, small, petty lives this organization has cause you to lead. You are monitoring, stalking, and investigating your fellow man for his own freedom of mind. Think about what that means about the group you belong to? The self righteous totalitarian actions are not humane, they are not christian. Its sick, think about it. You are no different than South Korea, Scientology, the Amish, and many others who practice the exact same type of harassment and intrusion. You should be utterly ashamed but you wont be because you belong to a arrogant smug cult.

Think about it, the big leaks that happened must have shaken them up, I think it's quiet for right now because of that.
- Lots of people have been let go, who knows if the source of the leaks was one
- They are probably very cautious now, can you imagine the distrust they must feel for their own house?
- There isn't much leak-worthy at the moment.
If the sources are even still there, they may need to be more careful as the leadership now sees their house is in disarray.
