not all JW's are asleep
by Damascus ini am an 'active' jw but i do not agree with most of the doctrines inc blood, baptism, the memorial etc etc.i took the emblems at the memorial because i think we all should recognise and accept jesus' command to remember him.
not for one minute do i think this is only for the so called anointed.
i know it is full of man made error and that my fellow brothers and sisters are in a state of mindless, spiritual unawareness.

Just don't stop looking for more truth. As long as you keep honestly digging you will find out not just what's wrong with jws but religion as a whole. -

What does the rise of Donald Trump tell us about the USA?
by fulltimestudent ini thank one of my former lecturers for drawing my attention to this overview.. after some 100 years, living out its "manifest destiny" dream, as the hegemon of the world, what has this 'dream' done to/for the usa?
the approaching presidential election provides an opportunity to examine this question.. and what of all the appendage organisations (like the wts) that rode across the world on the hegemon's coattails?.
the answer may be here: http://www.vox.com/2016/3/1/11127424/trump-authoritarianism.

@dagney & @terry thank you for being brave enough to speak reasonably.
Does anyone remember someone name George W. Bush was President of the United States of America????
That poor bastard could probably hardly read. The coke sniffing dont mess with texas cowboy? Yea some crappy stuff happened but the whole place didn't burn to the ground. If GWB can't take America into holocaustic dystopian wasteland, I seriously doubt if (dionysus forbid) Trump is elected he has the ability to do this. You are giving him way too much credit as an evil genius hillbilly. Did anyone see what it took Obama to pass the affordable care act???? You think trump is really going to build a wall?????
No matter how you want to spin it along with extreme media, america doesn't have an aristocracy or dictatorship

I'm done with reading SJW rhetoric
SCC it runs deep on here. And there is a general anti American slant to much of what goes on here. I just shake my head.
I don't support trump in any way and just because of what the virtue signal folks think about me even asking a question I got compared to a trump supporter. I think the question was what is the answer to the recent terror escalation in Europe and I got thrown under the new Godwin's/straw man Nazi figure.. Trump!!!
Let me message you my number and email before we both get disfellowshipped

Politically Correct Wasteland
by freemindfade inthis was a comment i made from another post, but i would like to hear some people discuss this.
i know the social justice warriors will scream i'm some sort of trump supporter for what i say even though i don't agree with his ideas and no i am not voting for him... i accept this is a go to for them.. i think we have fallen into a pc vacuum.. criticizing someones religion = racism!.
telling someone to not be so sensitive = misogyny!.

I get all my news from the Onion
Trump Catches Self Briefly Believing Own Campaign Rhetoric‘Whoa, That Was Scary For A Second There,’ Says CandidateNEWS IN BRIEFApril 7, 2016VOL 52 ISSUE 13 Politics · Politicians · Election 2016 · Donald TrumpBETHPAGE, NY—Admitting that he was overcome with terror after realizing what he had done, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump told reporters he caught himself briefly believing his own campaign rhetoric during a rally Wednesday night. “Oh, Jesus, for a few seconds there I actually found myself agreeing on a deep, personal level with the things I was saying—what the hell was I thinking?” said the shaken GOP frontrunner, recalling with horror that, right in the middle of his speech, he started to readily accept his vows that he would unite the country, force Mexico to finance the construction of a border wall, and eradicate ISIS. “Wow, I’m not sure how I started buying into that load of bullshit about other countries starting to respect the U.S. if I become president. That’s just so clearly ridiculous. I’ve got to be on my toes a little more and make sure this never happens again.” Trump also reportedly expressed serious concern that many of his supporters appeared to believe him when he said he would act more presidential if elected. -

I don't honestly believe they have any kind of grand scheme.
I think its more like this when a cult/movement/idea takes on a life of its own.
