  Yes JWS have always been anti homosexuality, yes they indoctrinate their kids, but this is a highly visible ugly demonstration they have signed their name to. The thing that really made my blood boil when i first watched this wasn't shock that JWS are anti-gay, it was the audacity of publishing a children's cartoon about such a thing. It sickened me to see any group (JW or not) showing how to teach your child to take discrimination to school!

  As one new article summarized it:

  Cute, computer-animated, religious kids shows are nothing new, but One Man, One Woman is something different. In 2006, VeggieTales was largely stripped of its Christian messaging when it was broadcast on network TV. One Man, One Woman, on the other hand, has problematic overtones that come with instructions teaching kids how to proselytize on the playground.

  with last night's meeting it became official: here in the states is a must to keep up with 'jehovah's org' that one fully jumps on board with this tablet/iphone crap.. so, now, all of us that up to this point have refused to follow the wtbts in their electronic/wireless revolution will deal with the browbeating from the 'spiritual' ones.. already receiving lots of grief from hubby and rest of the family/close friends when seen at the meetings with paper publications.

  damn it!!!

  When I do escort the wife on some Sundays I was holding a paper wt.

  However! Last time I went it was awful I handed her the watchtower and sat there not looking at anything. So I'm one step beyond now. Lol

  I think writing "homosexuality is bad" in a watchtower, and making a cartoon demonstrating how to plant seeds of discrimination in kids is a different animal all together.

  The apologist part is saying they are promoting hate, I say they are its just sugar coated.

  Don't get too upset Cofty, you know I got love for you . Watchtower should take maximum heat for this one as something above and beyond.

  There have been plenty of sentiments on this thread that suggest this video is no big deal and the disturbance by it is exaggerated. I disagree wholeheartedly and apparently so does the rest of the internet that is outraged.

  Personally I think anyone on here that thinks being outraged at this video is exaggerated should be ashamed. Sorry if that hurts feelings.

  Maybe some on here have forgotten what its like being in the cult, but they do "hate" gays. The majority do not have a passive opinion of homosexuals, they are very nasty about them. The homophobia is the fear that not hating them equates to accepting what they do in privacy. I know many JWS that have a near superstitious disdain and avoidance for the community. If they work with someone its what they will complain about, and how say how "god needs to bring Armageddon quicker". JWS are NOT passive on this. One of their governing members claimed tight pants to be a homosexual conspiracy... hello!.

  And adults can discuss their opinions on it, and gay marriage, ok... whatever. But a "how to" teaching your kids that someones sexual orientation is equivalent to baggage is extra disturbing.

  JW bigotry is nothing new

  No one is excited because its anything new. Its interesting because it is giving the cult more bad exposure. I think a lot of you are still watchtower apologists. You say this is no big deal. Meanwhile hundreds of thousands of people are viewing the videos and many are outrage . Joe rogan tweeted about it. None of us are surprised jws don't believe gay people will get into paradise! But this is like a bad jw broadcast, a stupid quote from the GB, an abuse headline, yes we know it happens but its putting a light on the watchtower and pissing people off.

  And its not overt hate speech but it is a lesson on how to indoctrinate discrimination and if you don't believe that its your choice but I think its not JUST manipulation.
