Naziaphobe... Why Protect Ideologies from Criticism?
by freemindfade innaziasm is an ideology... islam is an ideology... both encourage dangerous, ugly ideas... .
if i say "screw nazi's" no one is going to call me a racist, a xenophobe, or a naziaphobe.
anyone is capable of snapping, or just being an ahole and committing atrocities, but why does radicalization work so well in islam?

Naziasm is an ideology... Islam is an ideology... both encourage dangerous, ugly ideas...
if I say "screw Nazi's" no one is going to call me a racist, a xenophobe, or a naziaphobe.
Anyone is capable of snapping, or just being an ahole and committing atrocities, but why does radicalization work so well in Islam? Is it not that it is truly rotten at its core? Can someone be called radical for acting out a completely plausible interpretation of their religion? Can you subscribe to something so hateful, disgusting, and violent as the Koran, then be absolved yourself when one of its adherents commits atrocities based on it? "that's not really Islam..." actually according to the rule book it is.
You cannot kill ideologies with force. Isis is not a country, it may get beat down and run out town, but the ideologies that led to its creation are just as strong in the next group to take its place. over and over and over and over
If someone called you a Nazi the majority of mentally healthy normal people would be offended. its something shameful. Why isn't Islam? And for those who will compare all other religions faults, you are a few centuries too late, there is no systematic radicalization of Jew, or Catholics, scream all you want its just not happening. When the pope speak, millions of Catholics listen, who speaks for Islam? Can anyone tell me?
Just some things I wonder. I abhor ALL RELIGIONS, but I feel Islam is a special apologist case that will never allow itself to be reformed. As long as the "non-radical" adherents try to distance themselves from the "radical" adherents, there will never be reform. It is a HUGE religion, the fact that such an enormous ideology that includes world leaders, famous people, very rich people and so on cannot get things in order in its own house I feel says something about what the religion is at its heart. Evil.
Some crazy christian bombs an abortion clinic, they are outsiders, on the fringe of global Christianity. When terror occurs in the name of Allah, isis and islam, the radical are the insiders, at the core of the religion with no central higher voice to condemn what they do, just people saying "that's not MY islam"...
So called moderate Muslims are afraid to speak out because of "violent intimidation."
And every time somebody says 'Islamophobia,' it gives the people who are intimidating cover.

Judge sanctions WTS - $4k per day penalty for not producing sex abuse documents
by Simon injudge sanctions jehovah's witnesses.
imposes $4000-a-day penalty for not producing documents in sex-abuse case.
by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.

If the court gets a judgment whether or not they want to pay I think they can garnish the org. They may attach it to assets

Someone said that's only 1.5mil a year. I don't think the beauty of this is in the amount. Its their willingness to throw away donated funds of any amount to cover their ass. Its the implications. I think they are delaying until they move more property because the flood gates will open with one lost case delay delay delay

Islam is a religion of peace (2)
by Coded Logic inin behalf of the horrific events of saturday night, i just wanted to take a moment to remind everyone that islam is a religion of peace.
it doesn’t matter that the quran explicitly says that homosexuals should be stoned to death (7:84) - it’s still a religion of peace.
and it doesn’t matter that the scriptures say that all gay men should be killed (sunan 1:152) - islam doesn’t in anyway condone violence.. it doesn’t matter that every mainstream imam calls homosexuality a sin "worse the adultery" - it’s not a religion of bigotry.. it doesn’t matter that 61% of muslims in the uk think gay acts should be made illegal - islam has nothing against the gay community.. it doesn’t matter that countries with sharia law actively persecute the lgbt community - islam is all about peace and love.

I don't understand calling these perpetrators "lone wolfs" that might be the stupidist thing I've heard from apologists.
Radical Islam is a PLAUSABLE interpretation of how to practice this religion based on the Quran. End of story. If you are Muslim and go jihad crazy you are not alone but rather connected by this moronic book, not terrorist ties. They all worship the same ugly god and prophet

This religion makes me sick. They pat themselves on the back as champions of freedom of religion while denying it to their own members.

Committing an act of terrorism is a plausible interpretation of Islam
Stoning an adulterer is a plausible interpretation of Christianity and Judaism
What do you still see going on?
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/06/14/admit-it-these-terrorists-are-muslims.html
this is a great article by someone I think has very intelligent points.
It is time that we liberals took the fabled red pill and accepted reality. Just as this clearly has something to do with outdated gun laws, and just as those laws need reform, this also has something to do with Islam, which also needs reform today. No other stance makes any sense.
Muslim apologists undermine reform
JWS make a cartoon about gay marriage and we all jumped to criticize the hell out of them with good reason, also any other fundies that still preach the same message. In syria they are throwing gay people off of the tallest buildings they can find and we are too chickensh*t to insult islam.
I've said it before, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

The same logic applies to Christians, since the Bible is filled with the same messages of violent bigotry. The only difference is Christianity is about a century ahead of Islam in ignoring and explaining away similar texts.
This is the smartest thing I think anyone has said on this board regarding this matter. Christianity is in remission, Islam is growing.
