  i think trump is an absolute idiot.

  Anyone who understands Trump's personality will realize that people like him will erode our system of checks and balances if given the chance.

  And what would you base that on? Forget Trump for a second, a lot of the nonsense in place that he is using or abusing was put there by the "Giver" American left. I think everyone is terrified of Trump for breaking down government not increasing its overreach. I do believe many want to live in that controlled "utopia" where harm is reduced because people just can't be trusted. Not me.

  Anyone seen the movie the Giver? very interesting. I would put that dystopian reality as a future of where we have been headed with Bush/Clinton/ Obama era's. I feel the left is more aggressive for overreach, but the right is there too.

  Well, I think no matter where the news lands on their chart they are capable of delivering facts that other will not. That goes for left and right. I think this has to do more with the degree of slant. I always reference that a progressive liberal Maajid Nawaz has to go on Fox news to be heard. Does that make him conservative? or wrong? I don't think so. But he doesn't fit the CNN (1984) mold. I dont agree with everything on the chart either, to me CNN should be moved pretty far left.

  What really concerns me about the media is that the internet has given us access to what should be unfiltered news. However, I always check google news for headlines and I see this leaning the way the MSM that represents the regressive American left. Stupid non-stories make it to the top, if its negative about trump its all top news, if its negative about the left, its hardly on the radar.

  I tend to like NPR, BBC, most other on either side I don't feel like I am hearing the news, rather being persuaded about WHAT to believe based on WHAT they want to report. "Fake News" is almost becoming a subjective term.

  1. Does it mean outright lies?
  2. Does it mean something that is not 'news worthy'?
  3. Does it mean skewed propaganda rather than news reporting?

  I feel #2 & 3 are more often what is going on.

  Media outlets like CNN have obliterated the lines between opinion and news and activist journalists took it upon themselves to influence voters rather than inform them. People can see the bias and judged the media/left accordingly. All that hysteria HELPS TRUMP.

  Sir, why is it so unreasonable to think the outraged left and the media lapdog plays any role in this still?

  I agreed with the OP, I also agree the American left is stupid so I agreed with Simon, what's wrong with that lol. Do they have no role in it? I mean they are the main reason he even got elected, they should have some bearing. I think what Coded logic said was correct, but you also have to factor in the another side (not only trump) to the phenomenon.

  The left has massively exaggerated the danger of Trump, especially to certain minority groups and has found a mainstream media compliant, even eager in their efforts to consciously aid in spreading propaganda, hyperbole, even lies in the cause of opposing Trump. That's not saying he is faultless, but the media is crying wolf too damn much.

  Mass hysteria is a kind of delusion that fits well with people who consider themselves "victims." Trump hate is easy to promote. Every time people becoming unreasonably unhinged it's giving him further advantage. How is that not part of the discussion?

  If Democrats want to continue to go down the hysteria route, Republicans and Donald Trump are not going to care. Such irrational behavior by Democrats will only be of benefit to Republicans. It’s up to the Democrats if they want to be the opposition party or the crazy opposition party.

  What are some things JWs re-name to make themselves different than Christians?

  jws re-name things so they seem like they are different than other religions.

  (of course we know they are different but that's another story).

  i was just thinking about those things where they are like most everyone else in christendom but the re-name it to seem different.. for example god forbid they have a church, it's a "kingdom hall".. they don't have pastors and deacons they have "elders" and "ministerial servants".. they don't have tithing but they will have family heads fill out a paper saying how much they can contribute on a monthly basis (not sure if there is a name for that...unless it's tithing.
