BYR incase you are worried we will try and change the picture of what JW's are like then don't worry. They've painted the picture themselves and you just need to take a look around here to see how bad the artist did his job.

Tophat, i had pointers from the folks here but research was actually easier with two JW's who thought the world agreed with them. for example Stepdad first said, hey go check the Encyclopedia Brittanica...that agreed with ME not the 607 date so they refused to accept it lol.
Then mum said they went on trips to the British Musuem that prove the date and sat with me on the couch to look at the British Musuem site waiting to prove me wrong...when it agreed with me she wasn't chuffed..
inspired by one of the other threas on todays board i was remindedof what the po of my 'then' cong' said just befors i left for good.. can't remember what the subject was but he ended up quite proudly announcing.....'if jehovah asked me to.....i would have no trouble killing someone, i would find it easy'!!

the phrase 'crazed extremist' comes to mind.. what was the most unbelievable, outrageous thing that was uttered in your earshot.
HA, i ain't worried about any P.O or any witness thinking they could kill someone. The way i feel i could easily kill a JW!

Open your bible near the back. KW13 5:12 where is says... "and if a man must kill a witness, let him do it slowly and make that death painful, this is the word of Jehivah"

So my progress so far?
Stepdad came in today and promised he'd look at all i put before him...this doesn't mean he'll openly admit what he reads is correct but in his mind as a clever person he will make the right conclusion.
IF anyone intends to speak to someone regarding any of the above keep it cool, listen to what they offer, study all that i mention YOURSELF so you can honestly say to people yep i studied this myself, its not from some apostate hating evil person. Feel free to PM me regarding this!
first of all, i would like to introduce myself to all of you.
i am new to this board--so hello everyone!
jws are always quoting matthew 24:14 to support their preaching efforts and push their member for more hours (where in the bible is that anyway?).
I tell you one thing, in my mind when i see preaching i see spending time with people, making new friends, having a relaxed discussion regarding the bible and religion not knockin on the door. Have a beer, sit back and chat about it!
hey....anyone got any interesting stories about someone who woke up one morning with the sudden knowledge that they were one of the annointed ?.
i recall an elderly sister who was a sandwich short in the lunch box who insisted on partaking at the memorial.
it really pissed everyone off but no-one could say a word, of course.. wombat
How do i explain this.
Christ gave bread and wine to his disciples. People who followed his way, who were to understand his sacrifice and what it meant and did things by the book...everyone should be able to partake and realise what Christ did for them!

i'd compress it and make it small as i could, it would be in iso format so you then burn it using nero to cd.. i will look at how practical that would be sometime this week.. who would find this helpful?
I have obtained the watchtower CD. I have .rar it, meaning you need Winrar to extract the ISO, then CD writing software to burn the ISO.
Please be patient, sometime this week it'll be up there...who knows i might set it rollin tomorrow :D

I would certainly be able to make it available and highly compressed. It won't be yet cos a friend of Stepdad borrowed it so as to install it.
As soon as i get it back i shall upload to my server.
