I love Christmas and i love the feeling it gives a home but i dont get the Christmas bug like i did prior to being a witness. I don't think its all to do with growing up, i think that the real important parts of Christmas were pulled apart and for years i believed it, its probably going to take a good while before i get back to loving it again - saying that, first Christmas with Baby Noah this year which will make all the difference!!

Be honest, Do you really Enjoy Christmas?
by BluesBrother indansk's christmas tree thread got me to thinking .. in this house we do not celebrate since my wife is still a die hard dub.
i have no complaints about that, it was our joint choice for decades and i an the one that changed .but as witnesses we were always given the negative view of the holiday time :-.
"people feel that they just have to do it although they do not really want to".

Megan is in Hospital...
by KW13 inin a sense its my fault, i made her take a look in the loft to see what she wanted me to take down.
anyway while she was perched on top of the ladder, she slipped back and banged her head/neck/back.
she is ok, up, smiling and joking compared to before when things looked quite serious.

thanks for the fast responses, its what i love about this place. - i will take good care of her, i definitely do appreciate her - its a totally different household without her here and of course Baby Noah needs his mummy more than i need her!

I think some of the ideas you've got like opening your the eyes of your spouse to the Mormons by comparing to JW's are brilliant. IT can take years to free a mind though, so be patient and don't push past your wifes limit as it can have quite a negative effect on your relationship and family life. Overall, do your best to be happy, upbeat, positive and as constructive as you can be. Congratulations on getting your freedom and Welcome to JWD.

In a sense its my fault, i made her take a look in the loft to see what she wanted me to take down. Anyway while she was perched on top of the ladder, she slipped back and banged her head/neck/back. She is ok, up, smiling and joking compared to before when things looked quite serious. She has fractured her skull of all things, so life is kind of on pause till she comes home because as everyone knows, women are excellent home makers and good at doing what men forget. Anyway, i'm kinda doing this for the sympathy and her (being honest) because its really sad. Feel free to leave her a message for when she comes home which may well even be TOMORROW!!
