  we posted about an announcement it was only local to our cong.

  however we have found out that there is going to be an announcement sometime in september and it is supposed to be shocking.

  this morning at about 7:45 am in fort worth texas the landmark tower was demolished using controlled explosions... and i got to watch and feel it!

  Justitia and Yesidid: Hey, friends. No need to fight over this one! I still work for this "exclusive club" (called Bethel) and have some experience with the way this cases are handled. Let me say: BOTH OF YOU ARE RIGHT!

  Yes! Isn't this ridiculous? I've said that already in other threads: nowadays the Society has a very erratic way of handling things! Yes, there is a policy of: NO-help whatsoever, kick-ehm-out, send ehm to the desert but at the same time some people get away with incredible things, like your friends (not that I think they don't deserve it), but often you wonder how one department takes an approach that goes against another departments "rules" or "policy".

  Don't sweat over this one. Gods the Organizations ways are difficult to understand...

  Our CO hates our congregation. The rotation is 6 montths and he waited 9 months before coming back. When he DID come back, he left in the middle of the week.

  Dear dune, there is nothing worser as this: our CO hates our congregation (and guys like me) and even if the rotation is every 6 months he comes back after only 3 1/2 months!!! Everybody on the BOE: when we heard he can do this!

  "Watchtowers that never made it to print"

  So, you are sitting here with us......we have to come up with a good title for the next issue.....Something that sells, ehm, places well...lets see. I came up with this:

  Let the board decide!!! Here is your blank example (just place your mouse pointer over this picture, than right-mouse click, copy, than open Microsoft Paint, or your favorite Graphic program, and past into it. Than create some catchy titles - they must relate to the picture!!!. Than save the whole thing under some name on your harddrive. After that go to www.photobucket.com, register yourself and upload the picture. Once in Photobucket you have to click on the uploaded picture, again, right-mouse click it and copy, than come back here to this topic and Paste it into your answer.....). Here empty example:

  From Gilead School: Two missionarys sent to USA and Canada

  at the meeting this week, when discussing the marvellous increase that jehovah is blessing us with, a brother who had .

  attended the gilead graduation said that two missionaries had been assigned to countries where you would least imagine they would be sent.. one is going to serve in north america, the other in canada.. .

  another brother, a bethelite, said that there are too many workers there, so the society is stressing great emphasis on the field activity and many.

  (Besides, a little side point: the only two experiences that they presented Kenia and Portugal, where more than 8 years old....it seems there aren't many recent experiences....., I also noticed how the guy in Kenia has passed with honors at the University of Awake. Do you know why? The article says he had a tobacco plantation and to get rid of it, what does he do? He sprayed his plantation with poison!!!! The article mentions that as a good thing.

  No lettuce or carrots from that field, I guess......oh, I know....the article ends saying he is now a regular pioneer....probably the guy doesn't need that field anymore....

  Talking to the boys in the service department, you get to hear all kinds of stories about the CO's. I can absolutely confirm that. In some other countries the loss of CO's due to judicial matters, porn, and other stuff is high rate. Here in the US the CO's are getting into a modus of boredom and the constant, dull repetition plus dealing with BOE that just can't take anymore is "rubbing" off the "zeal" on quite a few of them....

  ....plus, a very low percentage of the young generation that want's to step up into that "career"....

  ....basically, you don't have to do a lot to take the CO/DO system down....its wearing down by itself, believe me. Just sit back, relax and watch.

  who will be his replacement?

  maybe that's why they appointed geoffrey jackson and the other dude to gb members - they knew schroeder was going soon, maybe barr will be next.. .

  Yeah, some people here in Bethel think the recent elimination of the Bethel elder arrangement was because of the "fresh wind" that blows on the GB.

  BUT! The "young" members are as hardcore as the old generation! Don't forget that they have been following the rules by the line, or they wouldn't be sitting where they are now. Don't expect any mayor changes. And if they try to bring in fresh ideas, they can only turn into more cracks among the organization. From personal experience (meeting these new guys on the board) it seems to me that they are as hardcore as the others, only they haven't got "the swing" since they have to obediently follow direction of the oldtimers.

  The only interesting part is that some of them where family fathers and see things a bit different, so expect a few adjustments here and there, but nothing mayor. I've heard that the recent cutback of the Awake magazine is due to a "war" that is going on between Publishing committee and Writing committee. It seems that Publishing committee took the decision and "forgot" to ask the other guys....

  Can someone explain Mosaic Law please??

  ok, so maybe i should've asked this a long time ago, but i'm a little slow sometimes.

  my apologies for being uneducated in this particular area.

  hey, i'm still learning, that's why i'm here.. i've seen a lot of references to mosaic law here on the board, but i'm a little unclear as to what it is, what it says, what it means, and who it applies to.
