  YOU EVER FEEL SCARED IT IS THE TRUTH?

  just wondered as im prob about to give up so much, coz i dont think it is the truth but its come as such a shock!.

  my family believe it so much, my dad feels he can answer any question i have, and being brought up in it sometimes it scares me.

  No. They have "their truth", that is for sure. Everything is perception. You seem very young. Give yourself time and room to grow and know yourself and the universe around you. I used to give pause when something would happen in the world that was a "signal" of the last days and think--I'll bet my mother is just knowing right now that Armageddon or the great tribulation is happening! But every faith has an angle. Muslims see validation of their Jihad when the US invades Iraq. JW's see it as "reports of wars". JW's see earthquakes as "earthquakes in one place after another". Earth-based worshippers and pagans see it as a natural karmic repurcussion for the way we've treated mother earth. Jews see the persecution of their people as validation that they are chosen (and btw, they read the prophets in a totally different way and more accurately, imo) I could go on. It is all perception. You see the world through your glasses.

  Also, reading the bible in Hebrew really really helps. It will change everything you have been taught about the Jewish G-d.

  i would like to write an article outlining some of the goofy stories that jws believe.

  for example, when i was young, this story went around: .

  a couple decided that they would miss the meeting to go to see a hypnotist.

  I've heard all of these! This is so funny!! I heard the one about the couple going to a hypnotist as get this--going to a John Denver concert (who apparently hated witnesses) He stopped his concert early on and said that the demons couldn't play the keyboards if there were witnesses in the building. Uh, yea--John Denver--not Marilyn Manson, folks--John Denver, not the earthy birkenstock clad environmentalist we all knew--oh no! That was just a cover for his true identity-----A consort to Satan and his demons!!!

  And they mock worldly and third-world peoples for being superstitious!

  JW EXORCISTS

  i first got into the jw cult at the age of 13, when my obviously well meaning jw sister saw me as a particularly juicy target for brain washing.

  during my impressionable teens i came across several stories inside the congo concerning such matters as possession of a house by a poltergeist or indeed possession of a child/teenager by some kind of malevolent entity.

  according to my circle of jdubs the offending demons soon made a dash for it when the jws turned up.

  Oh, how I used to revel in the stories of demon possessed smurf dolls, various items bought guilelessly at garage sales and one sister had a bra that was demonized. How I used to hang on every word when it would be brought up (I'd think: FINALLY SOME EXCITEMENT AROUND HERE!!). Those demons certainly seemed more real to me than the lifeless kingdom hall god. The air would be charged as people leaned in to hear the details of some Jehovah's Witness Human catching the attention of a nasty demon!

  I think it became part of their schema. I mean, if a demon starts meddling with you at least you're not alone in the universe.

  I have not heard of official JW exorcism rights, though.

  After all, they're every bit as plausible or more than the idea of an ancient sky deity coming to earth and inseminating a human woman with his seed (a god/human hybrid) to bring it to life in order to kill it for humankind's sake.

  listen, we were all "brothers" and "sisters" at one time and it didn't really mean shit.

  i'd've turned my back on the lot o' ya when i was a jw and i found out you were apostates.. but now we're all truly brothers and sisters.

  You're right, I cannot place myself in anyone else's skin and I completely and utterly honor anyone's control over their own destiny but....it's so sad when people exercise it this way. Hey, we're aplanet to learn and to grow through pain often times but we're here for a reason! To love one another. I love each and every one of you. Even the souls who hate me because I'm now "apostate" and challenge their current schema. At the soul level, I am one with you.
