  it seems as though many people come to this board and leave in a short space of time.. it's a pity.. there are people on this board who are very nice and polite even when discussing various views.

  this leads to understanding and concern.

  i would like to meet you people.. please post in here.. i term nice as being kind, not cursing, love for god almighty, thrives on the right things in life, not hurting other's feelings, etc.. blessed star

  I'm glad to know that you are doing fine. I am just wondering why the people on this board are so insulting when it comes to God.

  In what ways are you nice?

  When someone feels persecuted once free of that persecution they often lash out in anger. Many of us have escaped from a debilitating religious situation. It is natural for us to react in anger to the leader of religion, God. Also many feel that if God cared/existed that he would defend himself. As of yet he has not. Imagine if i was Jewish, having just escaped the holocaust. And you walked into a room with me talking loudly about how the Germans had it right all along. Wouldn't you expect me to react with anger?

  Also people feel threatened when someone invalidates their beliefs. My research has lead me to believe that God is a myth. I have spent many years coming to this conclusion. Other people need to respect that if they expect me to respect that they have come to a different conclusion.

  Why i am nice. 1. I am a good and faithful husband. 2. I provide for my family well. 3. I am involved in my community and work to make it a better place. I am a member of several neighborhood groups that work to keep the place safe and clean. 4. I do not litter. 5. I am pleasant and respectful to everyone.

  I'm the nicest guy i know. So I'm doing fine. How are you? I hope you're nice enough to allow to dissagree with your assesment about God and love and all. Because i believe that God is a myth. However i will tolerate your views as long as you can admit that mine are equally valid.

  i made a profile and tried to join all the jw groups...most actually let me in lol big mistake !.

  others questioned my sincerity....observant of them lol...and decided to engage me in a little question and answer session lol even bigger mistake lol.

  i'm telling you...if you have no life like me....lots of free time and a love of messing with people....this is way too much fun !.

  when i was a kid going to school, there weren't any.

  then later when i was in college, there weren't any, but today at that same college you see them in the bathrooms.. i was just wondering if they have condom machines in high schools too?.

  I agree with SB.. You're not going to stop teens from having sex the damage is already done. Better to create a more casual but safe attitude about sex. Remember you're dealing with the masses making it safe is about as much as you can ask for.

  I do tech support on relatively simple electro-mechanical vending machines. Problem is that you have to talk to people that can't figure out relatively simple electro-mechanical vending machines. But that doesn't bother me too much, i can be patient when working with the mentally challanged. What gets me is when people don't listen, you called me for help listen to what i have to say and we can both get on with our day. It doesn't bother me when people correct my spelling, it is often off the mark. But don't pretend for a moment that because you bother with spelling correctly that you are somehow better than me. Otherwise i am mostly tolerant and patient.

  Oh also people that are rude to waiters go straight to hell. I know i don't believe in God or Hell, but there is a hell for people that are rude to waiters. And i am satan there.

  it's really good to read stories of other people that have experienced some of the same things i have.

  i haven't ever posted or even talked to another ex-jw except for my uncle who i have just recently started a relationship with.

  the sad thing is that i am 30 years old and i am still struggling with the past....i'm soo sick of it.

  computer works best when not running ?!?

  even for the crazy world of quantum mechanics, this one is twisted.

  a quantum computer program has produced an answer without actually running.. ...... this scheme could have an advantage over straightforward quantum computing.
