  Even the movies like Schrek have cuss words

  Exactly so. You can enjoy comedies and movies so much more without the obscenities and "hot" sexualities.

  What about:

  The Simpsons (enough said)

  Grace Under Fire (contained three curse words ("bastard," "bitched," "ass").

  Clueless (A teenager told his girlfriend that he's always creative when he's lying under the stars with her. She responded that in reality, "the creativity burden falls on me...having to come up with new ways to tell you 'no.'")

  Suddenly Susan ("bite me" ),

  Behaving Badly ( woman mentioned having "fifty-five hours of nonstop sex" with a man she'd just met)

  The G rating does not necessarily indicate a safe haven for children of all ages. Shows with vulgarities and sexual references have garnered a G rating.

  If children are forced to grow up without good role models, they turn to other sources to imitate.

  Moesha, Everybody Loves Raymond,

  Is there a decline in family values in this country? Parents play an important role in their children's upbringing.

  Everybody Loves Raymond (comedy)

  This G- Rated series contain obscenity & sexual references.

  A thirtyish married couple, deals with their sex life from time to time. One episode opened with Raymond and his wife, Deborah, waking up in the morning.

  Raymond wondered, "How about a little?"

  Deborah said, "Oh, God, I don't feel so well...Oh, God, I'm so hot," meaning feverish.

  "I'm getting mixed signals," Ray remarked. She then asked him to look after their children, whereupon he whined, "We could have been done by now."

  BStar, I could not agree with you more, I hate the crap on TV now.

  And then there are many people who would agree with me - The people who really are concerned in the welfare of the youngsters at present.

  Do you honestly believe children deserve this? Even Tom & Jerry has gotten tired with its excessive combat scenes. I mean previously they were more friends than enemies as they are now.

  Many homosexual scenes. I am appalled when I saw the famous Magnum PI kissing another man, or Jennifer Aniston kissing a woman. Well less goes for Madonna and Brittney.

  What is the world coming too?

  are British people boring?

  i've just read a news article that stated that in a recent international survey, britain was voted the best country in the world, but the british people the most boring.. i do wonder what people think of us brits, they seem to have some wild idea that we all drink tea and play cricket, they seem quite unaware of the loutish behaviour that many of us are embaressed about.. what do you think?

  I don't think Brits are boring. That is stereotyping.

  Some Brits may be boring but there are many people in the world who may appear to be boring because they can't do certain things or don't even try at all.

  There are many "boring" people in the world and they are ofcourse from various continents.

  However, Americans seem to liven up the world huh? Unfortunately Americans have the opinion that they are the best in the world somehow or the other. While many cultures are becoming more Americanised. It's sad sad sad.

  HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT TV SHOWS & MOVIES AT PRESENT?

  DO YOU THINK IT IS APPROPRIATE FOR CHILDREN TO BE VIEWING COMEDIES WITH CURSING AND SEXUAL ENCOUNTERS?

  DON'T YOU THINK MOVIES HAVE MORE CURSING EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE RATED "G"?

  COMEDIES AREN'T COMEDIES NOW UNLESS THERE IS SOMETHING SEXUAL OR CURSUAL IN IT.

  In my opinion, tv shows and movies at present are tasteless when there is no need for so many torrid sex scenes and cursing. It spoils the show.

  its funny because my husband and i were just discussing this yesterday.

  i was having misgivings as to whether or not wearing a cross is bad.

  deut, is quite clear that the law was not to be added to nor taken from..... yet jesus said, i give you a new commandment, that you love one another as i have loved you.. so could he be the one god sent if he violated what god commanded?

  A question for my atheist friends.

  i can certainly understand why many turn atheist but what would you tell your 5 year old daughter who was conscience but dying on a hospital bed looking into your eyes?

  would you be inclined to give her some hope of a better place even though you didnt believe it yourself?
