kiev (reuters) - a man shouting that god would keep him safe was mauled to death by a lioness in kiev zoo after he crept into the animal's enclosure, a zoo official said on monday.

"the man shouted 'god will save me, if he exists', lowered himself by a rope into the enclosure, took his shoes off and went up to the lions," the official said.. "a lioness went straight for him, knocked him down and severed his carotid artery.".

This guy actually committed suicide. Daniel was cast into the lion's den. This man was very foolish. God is not mocked. This shows that God does exist because the man is foolish. God never told him to do that.

what is the meaning, if any, behind them?

What is it within man that makes us dissatisfied with the way the Lord made each of us?

Most people are not happy with the way they look so they seek ways that will cause them to feel better about themselves or cause others to accept them.

This is not wrong when it comes to having good grooming habits, but we need to understand true beauty comes from within, not from what we wear or how we look.

When the emphasis is put on the outward appearance we can be ensnared in vanity, rejection, fear, pride and even racial discrimination.

One of the most wonderful things about receiving the Lord is that He wants to deliver us from the outward things that we think we need to feel good about ourselves. When we are in sin we do not feel worthy or acceptable, but through Christ we are.

Many young people today do not realize that they may be sorry in the future that they chose to put tattoos on their bodies today. We know of many people who have said to us that they wish they had not been foolish when they were young as now they must live with the reminder of what they did when they were young. Only a few people have the money to have them removed by laser.

There may well be health related reasons for not eating meat that has not been bled, but if there are, they are not stated.

Eating meat that had not been bled is much different than giving or receiving blood transfusions. When our blood might help someone, should we give it or not give it? The Bible does not specifically address the problem of transfusions, but it does give glipses into God's heart that show us what He wants us to do in these cases.

Christ helped us understand a very important principle: the law was given to help people, to get people to do good and not evil. The law encourages us to save lives, but sometimes withholding blood actually amounts to killing.

I don't have any tatoos.

As a believer in Christ it is not a good thing to have on your body.

The Bible warns us against tattoos in Leviticus 19:28 this is an Amplified version which says, "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print or tattoo any marks upon you: I am the Lord."

This is not condemn anyone who already has a tattoo, but just to warn those who are considering getting one.

The thing is to those who don't know, TATTOOING HAS WITCHCRAFT "ROOTS".

What songs got you through good or tough times?

i've been in an upbeat mood lately.

i don't know if it's all the exercise that i'm doing or what but i've not been moody all 3 weeks.one thing that i've noticed, is that i've listened to certain songs that made me forget about "her" and move on with bigger and better things.

when i was depressed i listened to some songs from tool, some from the cure, barbra manning, the old babyface songs,some from sade, sweetback, and maxwell and everything but the girl.

hi there.....i'm new here and i don't really know if i'm posting this on the right board but i was wondering if you could tell me the name of recommended books to read when you have left the borg......you know.....the books you were never allowed to read when you were part of the hive....

i can't remember the names you see and my husband was interested to find out.

personally i was df'd almost seven years ago now......i'm now married to a wonderful man and have a beautiful baby daughter who will pobably never meet her grandparents, aunt and numerous second cousins.

Park Street, 1931 and 2003

Looking from Druitt Street across George and up into Park Street. Park Street has only been partially widened in 1931. The Criterion Theatre jutting out on the right demonstrates the old street alignment. It was soon to be demolished. The 1930s Criterion Hotel, corner of Park and Pitt, recalls the history of the old theatre. If you look closely you can see some of the buildings along William Street in the background.

In 2003 the monorail cuts across Park Street at the intersection of Pitt Street, the trees of Hyde Park are much more visible, and highrise along William Street pop up in the vista. Some of the 1930s post-widening buildings remain – like the Woolworths building and the Criterion Hotel – but the T & G Building with its distinctive tower has disappeared.
