my cousin is at end of her rope..... even though she tells me how she does not want to marry a "worldly" man she can't help but to conclude that that's what's gonna happen.
she's now "talking" to a brother that's in her words "brokeback" but o.k in her opinion.
she's also frustrated that he although enjoys sneaking over her house and fooling around with her, he has made no effort to say, "roll with me, i wanna be your man.
There's this loophole, they say ...oh don't do this or else.... but then you have people who do it and then once the person pops back "in the game" then everything is okay and they hush up about the whole sinning thing and preach "love","repent" and "forgiveness".(even though I know it's all a binch of sh**).
I know, I know of many other examples of those that had affairs with OTHER dubs, got df'ed, then in six months got back in and carried on like nothing happened. I tried to reason with her on that level as well.
I guess the best weapon for me is time.
But the thing is, is that she contradicts herself too much. One day she's so gun ho for the collective, then the next thing she's crying on how she can't live up to jah's expectations.Which I quickly refute that those are MEN'S expectations, not God's. Who are they to expect to read his mind, the one that has no beginning.
As of now I don't really say anything; I just smile and say, "We've disscussed this before, you know my answer to that already."
like with this "brother", she says that he has nothing to offer her at all but a good time and laughs.
"I need so much more, and I deserve it." she says.
I just stare on.
She's afraid that he'll flake just like the others, And I know the type...he would too.
I hope for the best, but I know that she's on her way out to be freed of this crap....she's just in denial.

Her best friend however decided to do the 'right' thing and is still single and in her late 30's now. Such a shame as she is a lovely girl.

Hey Now.. I still build stuff with legos..
I had to laugh at that one. But have you EVER been to a "gathering" whereonly the brothers are there? One example was when I was at a dub "bachelor party" and they had rented a suite at a hotel in downtown S.F. And not too far there was Ruby Skye. And me, like a dummy I thought that we were going there, but NO...they ended up staying in that room, all 15 of us, drinking grey goose and playing Xbox. I know that it may sound like fun but trust me it was'nt.
What was funny was there were five more "brothers" that came in and saw the future groom on the bed. They screamed and ran over and one by one, jumped on the bed and on top of him, very Lord of the Rings like.
One got on top of the groom, " You're gonna do her like this huh?" as he tried to roll him over on his stomach.
I was laughing about it, but the weird thing was is that they kept going on and on with it, like they were obsessed with the idea of him finally having sex with a woman.
" I wonder what it feels like?" One asks.
"Yeah, like apple pie or chicken soup, you know I was told that the sisters smell funny." The other said.
I could not believe that I was hearing how ignorant they were.
I had to leave, and soon two others followed saying that the mood was killed.
So we ended up going to Ruby Skyes and got our freak on there.
I told this story to my cousin.
"That's SO brokeback...." and walked away..."IS'NT THERE A REAL MAN OUT THERE FOR ME???!!!" shouts out.
I still laugh to this day about that one.
