i was talking to a elderly jw's lady at the donut shop the other day and i brought up the un and the wt scandal.
this woman told me that i was lying and that jw's leaders would never be apart of a "satanic" org as the un.
she said that "apostates" are spreading vivious lies about jw's and are only telling half truths.
The funny thing was when I asked my pop about that issue with the U.N he did'nt know about it.
AND HE REGULARLY VISITS THAT SITE!
Deep down inside I think he knows something, I mean; he CAN'T be that naive.

For example, I broke one of Dave's (aka AlmostAtheist) rocket launchers out of anger to "get him back". But after we reconciled I have felt very bad from then on. Even after I bought him another one,
I'm sorry, I got a chuckle out of that one That was sweet that you were able to get him another one.
but the thing is I still love her,but telling her would'nt work. I tried, and all she said was," Yeah, well...you'll get over it. They all do."
See what I mean? I finally came to the realization that I was used as a stepping stone emotionally. And I loved every minuite of it.....

as a loyal jw, i was ready for my whole world to come to an earth-shattering halt and for life as i knew it to be gone...at the hand of my loving god.
i would sit in school in my mental bubble and numb myself to the world around me.
i grew older and entered the adult world and was aloof in my thoughts that i could not attach myself to any workmates or neighbors and put out my hand in friendship as they could be dead tomorrow and i would have to be ok with that.
I had to respond to this.
That was how I felt, and still feel from time to time. I was numb in fact. Numb to the realization that what we thought we knew all that time was right, was in fact dogma that was spit up, again, and again, and again. When I was inside I would look at everyone around me, especially the youth, and think to myself,"How are they dealing with this; what's going on in their minds?" I look to my little brother who has conflicting issues about the collective, but still is at that "numb" stage, and is still in fact asleep and comfortable in his little box.He know I have issues but refuses to address as to why. That post took me back.

Yes.. I loved Starship Troopers, I loved how it expanded on their society, and their philosophies of that time period. The war with the bugs played not so much a major role, but I did'nt mind.
I'm now into Chuck Palanuick(pls forgive spelling) I have ALL of his books.
My pop's trying to get me into the whole Dune universe. I'm slowly getting into it though.

Thank you Sherry. just a side note she was not a witness. The cd was a burnt copy of a r&b compilation of songs, which in fact if memory serves me; I gave back to her already. I made earlier posts about that subject already, it's a good read. Hey, with all this drama around...
