Many Questions
by urstruly inhi i'm new to this forum.
i've looked at other websites to and i see all this about the jw's, now i'm not one, i was raised a jw but made my own decision and my parents respected that.
i've read so many horror stories, but my life wasn't like that at all, as a matter of fact, when they first knocked on our door and my mother accepted a study our life changed for ever, it was for the best in many ways.

I think all religions are scary. That's why I don't belong to any! If God will call me for an accounting so be it! I'm ready for it! I fear God and trust in him, he doesn't need my help to uncover the lies or anything. I'm not taking the laws into my own hands. I think he can take care of himself very well. If I'm wrong, then heck I'll get my just deserved as well as the next person JW or not JW.

Hi Willow, that's very true. But how do you manage to do that? Where to begin? Would this include the JW's then?

jgnat I've mentioned before I'm sticking around and I will. I'm not deffending the JW's or minimizing what harm they've done to some people here in this forum I can only imagine the emotional turmoil they have to go through, all I'm saying is there WIll be consequences for the JW's. The purpose of me initiating this thread was to understand some comments on behalf of some people here. I'm not excusing the JW's, but again, there are some people who are sincere (I've read some of your own posting here about that) and abide by what they've learned regardless of it being the truth or not. I symphatize with those going through emotional distress due to it, but there are some happy people. I do coincide with an earlier posting, if it is the truth then it will hold to scrutiny so your free to do as you please and express yourselves as you wish, all I was trying to do is understand. I have faith in the Lord and in due time everything will fall in place. So is there one true religion? Which one is it? How do you know it is THE ONE?

Hi willow it's nice to hear from you. I'll take your suggestion into consideration and start another thread.
About being open to change, why change the way I feel about God being able to change what he wishes and when he wishes? Just because I don't belong to any religion doesn't mean I don't fear God. That's all. All I'm saying in a figurative way of speaking it's like taking the law into your own hands. Again, I don't mean to minimize or offend anyone.

I'm not trying to minimize what you all say they've done. All I'm saying we will get our well deserved when God chooses that's all. Your entitled to do as you wish as well as the next person. Personally I think that if you let yourself become a victim you will that's always been my motto. I've never let anyone put me down or make me change my mind and I never will. Sticks and stones. I will stick around, but I still think God will do as he pleases when he pleases not I. That's all. Please don't hate me, but if you do, I guess there's really not much I can do about it right?

TS so do you believe in evolution?
Besides TS, it seems to me that for the most part you all believe in a Supreme Being, all I'm saying is don't you think he WILL do something about it with or without you? He has done it in the past way before anyone of us was even thinking or being born, what makes today any different? If this is some sort of "therapy" for some of you than continue your endeavor, but again, is there a need to put them down? If you don't believe in JW's teaching but still believe in Christ and remember his teachings didn't he say to love your enemy? Didn't he say not to return evil? Or what about the one that says that if they slapped you to turn your left cheek also? Not every JW is a hypocrite including some of the ones in "prominent" places. So is there ONE true religion? According to you all, which one is it? I think all religions just serve on purpose cause divisions that's why I don't belong to anyone of them, but I'm not going to nit pick each and one of them.
I'm sticking to my guns, they will PAY for all their wrongdoing for what it's worth everyone WILL pay for all their wrongdoing regardless or what I do or don't do, it's not up to me or anyone else for that matter. That's just my opinion.
By the way please excuse my translation of the bible verses, I wasn't ever really good with that, I'm just speaking what little I remember and I always attended (16yrs.) spanish congregations so I'm sure it's probably not the correct translation in the English bible, so please don't kill me for that, but I'm sure it's pretty self explanatory.
By the way, I'm getting pretty tired of this conversation, I'm not trying to change anyones mind, and I'm not changing either. I think there is SOME good, and I leave all in the Lords hands. That my .02 cents about the whole things and that's the end of that. Can't we all just get along? LOL
By the way, does anyone have a good diet? I'm trying to loose a few pounds before my 10th wedding anniversary my husband and I are going to Costa Rica in a couple of months I'd really like surprise him and fit into a really really small bikini!! LOL
