  wow, i'm so happy!!!.

  my boss just told me that i'm getting $6000 bonus for good performance.. they had good profit last year and he thought that i contributed to that.

  Do you know why the WT wants to be called "the branch" and not "society?

  one elder in my (or ex) cong.

  is always correcting himself every time he says "society".

  he always goes "upps, excuse me the branch says this and that bla bla bla bla".

  He once said that they don't want to be call "society" any more that everybody should refer to them as "the branch"

  But he did not gave any explanation on WHY

  Are this happening on your cong. as well?

  not sure how many hits i'll get on an english db, but here it goes.... i'd like to start building up a little collection of the better songs from the genre.

  i used to listen to a bit of mana, los caifanes and a few others i can't remember back in college but haven't really been exposed to it much at all since.

  oh yeah, i did download something from enanitos verdes which was pretty good, come to think of it.

  i know i did.. we had a young fellow who used to live at my grandmother's place.

  in may ways he was like family.

  after he moved out of my grandmother's place i saw him frequently.

  No, I did not!

  And I always felt bad that I couldn't talk to them in the KH.

  That was one of the reasons that accelarated my exit from the org.

  I cannot imagine a God of love treating anybody like that.

  I surprised my dad with a birthday gift this morning

  today, my dad is 76, and today i surprised him by giving him a gift and saying happy birthday.. he was happy.

  since the last 18 years, i avoided saying happy birthday to him, since i was a dub.

  i guess that jah is very mad now....

  Good for you and your dad!!!

  The other day my son asked me why I was not attending to the meetings anymore and I told him because there were few things I did not agree, and he said "like birthdays?" I said "well that and other things as well" he asked me to explain again why witnesses don't celebrate them and for the first time I noticed how dumb the explanation sounds.

  He said "just because of that?" "That's dumb"

  Then he asked me "Are you going to celebrate my birthday now with gifts and everything?"

  I felt very bad!! He is 16 now, so maybe when he turns 18 I'll make a big deal out of it.

  I hope to be completly free by then (emotionaly free from WT teachings and guilts)

  Elder Alert!!!!!

  i received my first elder call yesterday.

  he wants to talk to me today.

  i have never been afraid of the elders but i also have no experience on what they are going to say because i have never ask for their opinion on anything and i have never been accused of anything either so, any ex or current elders here that can brief me about what to expect?.

  He did not specifically said to meet with me alone, but he never mention anything about my husband either. He only gave me the time for the visit.

  When he called last night to confirmed the visit I told him that I couldn't do it at the time he wanted but that I could do it one hour later when my husband was at home and he said that he already had something else to do, and said that maybe next week. I told him to call me ahead of time and I will let him know if I have chance because I have a lot of activities with the kids.

  I don't think this elder has any hidden motives but, you are right I shouldn't meet with him alone.
