  i received my first elder call yesterday.

  he wants to talk to me today.

  i have never been afraid of the elders but i also have no experience on what they are going to say because i have never ask for their opinion on anything and i have never been accused of anything either so, any ex or current elders here that can brief me about what to expect?.

  Thank you all for your suggestions.

  I'll try avoid meeting with him but, If I cannot, then I will follow your suggestions and use all those "exit" frases that you get me.

  Thanks Odrade,

  I think that menopause thing is a good idea.

  I was thinking also to tell him that I may go to meetings but to a different cong.

  I'm also concerned on how my kids will take it. they already know that I'm not going to the meetings any more and I don't want them to perceive me as weak if I gave up to pressure and start going again even if sporadicly.

  I think I'm more affraid of myself. Because I don't know how to fake and I think I wont be able to control myself on not telling him that I lost my faith and that I felt dissapointed of have been wasting 25 years of my life.

  so, what do you suggest?

  I'm not affraid of the elders.

  But, I would preffer if they just leave me alone and skip the df step.

  my husband said that it is going to take about 2 years for them to leave me alone.

  I was missing a couple of meetings per month but they knew that I have family activities that sometimes kept me from going.

  I was not a pioneer.

  I'm a confident and straight forward person so they always feel good around me. Including this elder who called me. I joked around with him a lot. he is way older than me.

  I'm good looking for my age.

  I have more money than him.

  I wouln't like to be df. because I don't want to loose some good friends that I have.

  Well, I haven't been to meetings since Dec. 28

  before that I was a witness in good standing

  My husband hasn't been to meetings in about 7 years

  My kids haven't been to meetings in about 3 years

  basically I'm the only one in my family who attended meetings.

  I think he will ask me why am I not attending to meetings anymore and what he can do to help me.
