Rutherford couldn't have gotten his imagination while being sober...he gotta be under the influence. I gotta give it to him though, he recruited alot people, who till this day believe it's not a fairytail...eventhough he said he was only joking.

i have been fading away, and considered fully "inactive" for over 2 years now.
my wife is still a very active jw, and she brings my 2 children (5 & 3) to the meetings and service on a regular basis.

Is spiritual compatibility important?
by serendipity inhow important is/was spirituality to you when considering a person as a husband/wife?
did you expect the person to have similar spiritual beliefs and goals?
if s/he didn't have similar beliefs, was it important to be able to discuss spirituality respectfully ?
