From 1 to 10, What's the JW morale right now?
by JH inif you could give a score from 1 to 10, 1 being the lowest, what do you think is the morale of the average witness right now, considering that not much that they predicted happened by now.. i would give them a 4, considering their new tract that came out recently, that might make them more optimistic that the end is closer..

Moving to where the need is great
by Lady Lee inmany jws sold their homes and moved across country to serve where the need was great.
in the last couple of years i have remembered several people who moved from western canada to quebec where we were told the need was great out west.
some sacrificed their families, friends to go it alone.

That woman who called you a liar must have been such an imbecile. She obviously doesn't know the difference between reciting a script and talking freely. But then what jw does I guess.

What is your town or area's claim to fame?
by free2beme inevery where you live, the local area has something about it that is either famous for something good or something bad.
as an example, you go to one town and it may have the historial site of a famous war battle.
you go to another an it might be the place something was invented, or the birthplace of someone famous.

Does it make you sick too??
by mama1119 ini was watching some youtube stuff yestersday and came across all the 2006 convention videos, and just watching them and hearing the songs and the dramas and seeing all the people dresses like they have for the last 20 years made me feel sick to my stomach, and all panicky....does this happen to anyone else?
when you see jw doing what you used to do, does it give you a little pts??
(post traumatic syndrome).

Hi Mamma, Yes it does make me feel sick and panicky too. I wonder why we feel like that? Maybe its the idea of being there mixed in with anger and pity. Also I look at them and think of all the things I have learnt about the org, but I know if I ever got the chance to talk to any of them I would probably just go blank. This makes me feel frustrated. I wonder how long it will take before I can watch these things with no emotional effect.

I don't think I believe that Jesus became King in heaven in 1914. I think that's too much of a JW teaching to fit in with their other beliefs.
If he is on the earth now then I think that no one will know until the day that everyone knows.

Hi Star, What will he be doing on the earth before people realise who he is? Would he be searching for something? I thought he was never going to return to the earth again. Maybe that just meant in a fleshly body. But if your saying he is here but noone realises that it is him, then are you saying he has taken on a fleshly body again?

Are you talking about DFing
No, not that. I meant would you really want to enter into the new system without your husband/wife/parents or kids (if their not witnesses).
I wondered because, when I was a witness (for a few months), people would talk about my husband as though he wasn't going to be around for much longer. It really hurt me but I believed that God would see he had a good heart. I felt the need to keep that to myself though.
On my study they would ask me to describe how I imagine my new life in the new system. I knew I couldn't include hubby and it was then that I felt so traumatised by the idea. I looked at them and thought how lucky they are to look forward to an eternity with their family whereas they believed all of mine will be wiped out. Well they can shove it.

lol @ misanthropic. Thank you.
Its gone midnight and I can't tear myself away even though I'm so tired it hurts.
Thanks everyone for your replies, it was fun reading them. If I find an island with hot men, you'll be the first to know (well, second) and not straight away either, ha. :p

No its just gone a bit wrong :(
I thought I was being clever but I messed up :(
It was one of those hyperthetical questions that I planned to ask a witness with non-witness family. I imagined them saying "oh no if my loved ones arn't invited then they can shove it" and then I would say "oh but you would live forever in paradise without them being invited though?"
I was just testing it out first. It was much better in my head. Sorry everyone for asking a rubbish question :(
