A couple of comparisons: the WT of today vs the early 1970s
by Skimmer inthe other day i happened to make my monthly stop at the local fast food joint when i usually borrow one of the community newspapers for an afternoon read.
this time around i see a couple of wt magazines.
as always, my concerns for my fellow man caused me to grab these toxic items for a later meal -- a meal fed to my cross cut shredder at home.

All interesting thoughts but it is just a "what if" and is unlikely to happen but it would cause a hell of headache for the WTS for a while.
It's just interesting to read the papers or TV and see that people go and kill others for sometimes no apparent reason ,and yet the GB have put some people thru terrible turmoil in their lives because of their policies.
It surprises me that some disturbed soul has'nt tried to become a vigilante ,but I doubt Holy Spirit has protected them ,but rather they do try to keep a low profile unlike say some church or political leaders.They use the scriptures (discreet slave) to hide behind in mock humility, just like the plethora of CO's DO's etc who we've seen copy their crap at "oh we're just like you" ...yeh right

by AlphaOmega indoes anyone "out there" have a good scan of the may 1974 kingdom ministry - it is it often quoted for it's boldness about encouraging people to sell their homes.... .
reports are heard of brothers selling their homes and property and planning to finish out the rest of then-days in this old system in the pioneer service certainly this is a fine way to spend the short time remaining before the wicked world's .
i would be really grateful if anyone can dig it out.. .

"I am leaving"
by DazedAndConfused inbigdreaux's thread caused me to think back on similar threads where the poster's have been blasted for their exit threads.
most try to reason with the poster with positive responses and try to get them to stay with us, but a few have posted negative thoughts to being downright nasty.. i have noticed various post's stating "you'll be back" (in sarcasm) to those who outright state that we are better off without you (the poster who says goodbye.).
there have been good people here, bigdreaux included, who are ostracised for their post to say goodbye.

Well I did one and was met by a mixed response ,I'm bi-polar and had an emotional time and decided to quit when someone said something nasty.
A few encouraged me to stay and I'm glad I did OK there are junk posters here but I feel this is because some grew up in the LIE and have'nt grown up yet .
But by far there is alot of good ordinary people here ,and even though I don't post alot ,I do enjoy reading how others feel and think even though their lifestyle maybe different.
I've been helped by knowlege and gained strength from others encouragement and cried for those in trouble. It's not the same as being together in the flesh ,but it has been for me better than going to a Kingdom Hall with people who display false freindship.
So if some leave let's hope they've healed and got their life and dignity back while they were with us here.

Our government reps are a bunch of arse lickers ,and alot of Australians are ashamed of them too......after all people here paid to hear Clinton talk ,but then that's probably what he did to Monica Lewinski before he blew his load on her clothes ,and then "I did not have sexual relations with that woman", but they obviously liked Clintons talk and recieved a load on them too!
