  How Can We Expose Child Abusers - Who Got Away with it as Witnesses ?

  i got the idea for this thread by talking with a friend this weekend who had been abused by a father when young.

  this person confronted this parent about it and got a very self righteous reply back from the offender.

  already a precedent for exposing the watchtower society has been set.

  I agree with Simon too ,taking the emotion out of thinking what to do and being strategic is a better way to go .Like taking a deep breath ,pausing and then making a decision , a decision that will not later turn into the perpetrator and their help coming back at you legally and abusing the victim all over again. My wifes case is finished now thru the legal system and though she closed the case against her father she has grown into a happier woman and wife. I won't say anything here as to why she chose to close the case for she wants that kept to herself and me . But she used all the help from the government she could and we thanked them for their efforts .What did she gain from her exposing her father who used to be an elder? A; Her dignity and self worth B: Courage to stand up for herself C: Confirmation that she is in control NOT the abuser any more. D: By not telling the court and the abuser and his laywer why she dropped the case ,she has gained power over her abuser and the rest of the family ,for she has exposed him and is now in control of her life and what happens in it. E: Since 90% get off she has saved herself grief from cross examination yet she has had total control of the proceedings ,exposed him to local JW's and it cost him a lot of money. F: The situation caused the rest of the family to take sides and you know there was not one that backed her even though some were abused too they went against my wife to her face ,so she now has the clarity of knowing what they really are as people ,and has moved on. These are some of the gains but most importantly for her was the exposing of the Watchtower society and her leaving an organisation that perpetuated her abuse by their inaction ,protection and hiding of him within the ranks of Jehovahs Witnesses. What can we do to expose these abusers? Have they really got away with It? Well this is what my wife has done ,it has caused many JW's to look into their own hearts upon hearing of the case and they have stayed in despite knowing her beautiful nature and the truth ,maybe the fruits will come from this. No he did'nt get away with it ,he'll be tormented the rest of his days that he can't control her with the assistance of the family and the Society ,for he is living a lie and can never respect himself yet my wife CAN. It would be nice to have a place to name these creatures but the reality is each one must make rational decisions on how to help protect others , my wife chose her way which has helped in healing her life and that is more important than hurting him as much as possible. I'm not as strong as her at times I guess, as I fantasize the obliteration of these filth perhaps taking Gods sword of vengeance and smiting them . Her families loss is my gain in being married to a beautiful person ,which is more than I can say for them ,and they have had the warning now to protect their children . Still it would be nice to paint his crime and his name on a couple of Kingdom Halls LOL ....but the silly bastards there would think it was satan eh

  Why the molestation issue won't bring down JW's

  ?molestation is not a problem unique to jws.

  it happens all the time everywhere.

  it is a human problem.

  I have never heard anyone say that is their goal to bring down JW's by pointing to the way they have handled it.

  It cannot happen on one issue ,but the boldly pointing to the hypocrisy of the org in handling the problem does have benefits ,in informing those trusting in the org and not knowing how it handles the issue ,and protecting children in the future is important .

  I don't believe that those who spend a lot of effort in exposing the WTS in this regard ,really would expect them to shut up shop over it ,but when someone says they are gods special channel to people and then cruelly treat them with disdain ,well their hypocrisy must be exposed with gusto!

  this young man gave his life, he will probably never have a wife and family for the rest of his life and this is how they are treated ?

  this administration should be ashamed of themselves and i mean down right on their knees ashamed.

  Ever attacked by a dog (or householder) while out in service?

  i knew a little kid who got bitten pretty badly.

  his parents didn't seem appalled enough to suit me.. they acted like it was a badge of honor of something.. i was chased out of a yard by a dog but didn't get bit.

  i think i didn't get bit because i knew enough about dogs to get off the property and then turn and face the dog with my book bag in front of me.

  On a rural property an alsation stalked me from behind bushes up the driveway and attacked my legs and butt ,so I hastened up to the house where the owners told me to go away not worried their dog was attacking me ,I got some nasty bites.

  While entering a low gate ,a householders bull terrier rushed me and latched onto my hand and would'nt let go till the householder came out and told it to let go ,it was extremely painful and the teeth marks took ages to go away.

  On another occasion my ex wife and I were going up a rural driveway and saw a woman and two dobermans coming toward us and at first I thought she was smiling in the distance but when she got closer we could see she was gritting her teeth and said to us that is why she keeps dobermans to keep people like us out.

  We have wineries near us and once working with a brother we realised the people were ringing each other to warn we were calling in the area so we got a pretty bad reception ,but finally one fellow came down his driveway ,grabbed us both by the shoulder and turned us around and pushed us out his gate.

  Jehovah's Witnesses are not a cult and here's why I think so

  when most people think of "cult" they think of the people's temple, the branch davidians, or heaven's gate.

  many also want to put jehovah's witnesses, mormons, and scientologists into this group.

  i don't agree with that because there is one main difference between true cults and high-control groups like jws:.

  Hi B-deserter ,I don't agree as they only live in society as they do so they appear like other churches so they can preach at the doors .I don't think they would be as acceptable at the doors if they say dressed and kept physically seperate like the Armish for instance ,so they just adopt the American business model and pretend to mix normally in the community so they appear to be not freaks ,it's just a cunning con.

  Mentally they are seperate and notice how many parents among JW's home school - why is that? That's physical seperateness ,and their policy of low education keeps them seperate if they are cleaners etc and not amongst the broad spectrum of employment opportunites ,I'd say that's cultish. It's because they go door to door that they try to appear as others. It's just another flavour of American religion is'nt it?
