  How Do You Respond To: "Where Else Will We Go"?

  in the past whenever you went on vacation (holiday) did you try and find a kingdom hall to attend and also try and put in some service time?.

  Or...how about the ones that move into your relatively peaceful congregation only to screw it up big time, and before long the whole hall is divided, and everyone can't stand each other. Then the family that started it all, up and moves to another hall leaving all their wreckage behind.

  Artificial Insemination

  im a long time lurker, first time poster.

  my question is this; if a sister in the congregation decided she wanted to have a baby, but was not married and went to a fertility clinic and was artificially inseminated, could she be disfellowshiped?

  she didnt have sex, so she did not commit fornication.

  Wait, wait, wait a second, what if his wife...ahem....coaxed the little tadpoles out by....well....there are a few ways of getting those little guys out. Anyway, what if she got them to come out...for him in a cup. He didn't get em' out, she did, now what? How would that be viewed? It's his semen, she got it out, it's going into her...you know...caring place. Oy, this is getting to complicated.

  what exactly was the purpose of the written review?

  it was extremely helpful that the society warned you on the calendars which night you had to skip... we had those boards that they passed out so you had a good writing surface, often covered with witness grafiti like, jesus or jehovah or something biblical.

  remember the little grading sheet on the back; excellent, very good, good -- was there a poor?

  Hell ya they did, right from the society, on a cheat sheet, I've seen them. They didn't make up those "right" answers, they were too stupid to actually figure them out on their own.

  Everyone has a song

  everyone has a song that reminds them of a particular moment in their lives, happy or sad or sometimes indifferent.

  its only that when you hear that song it takes you back even catching you off guard and suddenly your back in high school or remembering someone you loved and lost.

  how many of you have a song that reminds you of leaving the org.

  to what extent has the growth of the "fade" been facilitated by internet forums such as this?

  sure there were people who chose to fade in the pre-internet era, simply by withdrawing themselves, gradually involving themselves with non-witnesses to a greater extent, or getting in touch with other ex-witnesses covertly through the convention system/telephone and mailing support network that used to be more important before the advent of the internet.

  so the "fade" is not an invention of the internet era, not en entirely "new phenomenon".

  I'd say...you gotta just move on, like nothing ever happened. She was "fishing", that's all, nothing more. If she was truly concerned about you she would have called a long time ago. It's been my experience that someone that calls you up out of the blue like that, probably wants something from you. Who knows what it is? She does. It served a purpose for her, not you, in some fashion. It was a self serving call on her part, it served no benefit to you, case closed.

  SITTING ON THE BACK ROW..............NO, NOT AT THE MOVIES, AT THE KH

  i know we've heard a lot of horror stories about jcs and getting disfellowshipped.........................but what is your experiences of continuing going to the meetings to be reinstated.............what did it really feel like?.

  did you mind being ignored or did you understand it and take it on the chin?.................................what were your familys treatment of you during the period of having to sit on the back row????.

  when i saw ppl comming in late and leaving early .....................i just knew it was wrong, wrong , wrong to treat ppl that way.. in fact i got told off for smiling at a sister who i knew genuinly wanted to come back,( the pos wife told me ) i did it out of human feelings and was then blasted.. after she got reinstated, i was the first person she came upto and introduced herself.

  Geez, what has a little human compassion ever hurt? I agree, I've always made an extra effort to show a little love for those who were df'd, they're human, just like me, and deserve as much encouragement as anyone else. They're not sub-human, like an animal, but that's how they're treated. It's that very act of love that Jesus was so keen on, showing love to you brother, not judging him for what he may or may not have done.
