Yes, he is a HUGE peice of s.h.i.t. and beyond. I have to say, I don't remember them so much as teaching to treat your wife as a slave, but it makes sense, since that is the way I was treated. He may as well have had papers on me, maybe it's also the mentality of where I am, South Carolina, and he is old school. I was born and raised in CA, lived here for 18 years now and still can't get used to it.
The teachings I remember were, don't be speaking disheartingly to your wife, love her as you love yourself. (he loved only himself) I told him, have you forgotten? Those that are puffed up with pride, men who are lovers of themselves, will be brought back down? He would laugh at me, I was totally serious. Not to mention, him not being the provider, and I was, "A man who does not provide, is like that of a man with no faith" doesn't that mean all that field service is being done in vein?

Yes, he has already used the "your not going to make it through armegedon" crap, my response is, "as if you are?" LOL
I agree, anyone using a kid for a mouth peice is a loser. My parents did it to me, I know.
I waived my rights to alimony, he could never make a mortgage payment (until after I moved out naturally) so I figured how could I get something from nothing.
I wish I could make a list of all the horrible things this jerk did to me, and pin it next to a picture on a bill board somewhere, including all the jerks in his congregation that know what he did. Consequently, everything I discussed in my bible study that I was told was confidential, was told to him. ????????????I really don't understan that one!

Thanks Dave. You definitely don't sound like a jerk I guess what I mean is that since I had to give up my house, (sitting on his family's land) that I paid for, (he never brought home a pay check)
I started at 27, now i'm 36, it's just so unfare. I'm trying to get over it, it's just sooo hard. Especially after just 3 days ago, he kept pounding my 10 year old about if I got a court date up to finalize our divorce, (takes a year in this state) and I told him not to discuss it with her. He started to scream at me, and I told him for that, I was not going to finish it, he could do it, I was retired from doing from him. Now he won't return her calls. Hurting her to get at me, makes it very hard to let go, you know?

Thank you all sooooo much! I have needed to talk to someone for soooooooooo long! I totally agree that we are all human, I personally have done things in my early twenties I wish I could undo. There are so many things to tell that I have witnessed,and my personal abuse, it is unreal. Let me give you just one example, my honeymoon, August of 1998. We went to the beach, we were supposed to be there for a week, however, my husband wouldn't come out of the hotel room. Constantly griping and complaining that he now hated the beach, because all there is to do there is chase women, and now he can't because he is married. Gee, I'm so sorry to have ruined his time at the beach, I cried everynight there, which only ended up being 3, and we went home. Not one day went by with this jerk that i wasn't insulted or put down. Then go to the hall and hear talks about how you should be loving to your wife, if that's love, I'd rather join the convent and become a nunn. ........ But like I said, I can really write a book, it's aweful

since 30-Jan-06Oh my goodness, could I tell you some things..... I could write a book. I'm in the middle of divorcing a "so called" JW. He is one of the meanest people I have ever known. Married for almost 9 years, it has totally ruined my life. And about 80% of the members of the hall we attended are all hypocrites. I was never baptized, so when I asked for help, they wouldn't give it to me. Now that I left him, I am being treated like I was baptised, but disfellowshipped. Whatever!!!!!! This jerk comes to pick up my daughter last weekend, in his suite, just finished going out in service, and starts bare faced lying to me, for the millionth time. And he was out preaching the bible, whatever!!!!!! Out of approximately 200 JW's I personally know, 2 of them are real. The rest? Like I said, I could write a book! -
