Do you still believe?

i have found a lot of people no longer believe in god or jesus since leaving the organization.. im very shocked at this.

if you dont believe, can you tell me what brought to that conclusion?.

i was told to look at the thread that one of the members in this forum has created, they are very interesting, but i wanted to get a some feed back from different individuals.. thanks!

i don't mean this as an insult, more of a life experience thing.

i saw a lot of people leave in my years there and a lot were angry with the religion and the people, and some even protested the kingdom halls and wrote things in the newspapers.

a lot though, came back in time, as it was just the comfort zone they felt at ease in.

Yeah, exactly. And the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, etc.

What Does the Bible Really Teach??

my wife's family is jw, she has never been a partipative jw, but now due to her mom, has been expressing some interest and is starting a 'bible study' using 'what does the bible really teach?

' am looking for any guidance on this book as well as any path i can take to make sure my wife stays away.

any assistance at all would be appreciated.

Bad stuff you did in school

- white out things in textbooks and put something dirty in its place.

We used to take wads of toilet paper, wet them in the sink, throw them up and they stick to the ceiling, LOL

I listened to this, and I'm curious, I seem to be finding that several people that were born and raised as a JW who has either been DF'd or DA'd theirself, have become agnostic. Which to me, is much different then being just an apostate. I was only in the truth for a little less than ten years. I definitely do not consider it the truth, but I absolutely believe in God and Jesus.

Is there anyone here who absolutely doesn't believe anymore? and what brought you to that level?

i have been looking into the research art d. ehrman from the department of religious studies from the university of north carolina.

he makes a very convincing argument that to me proves the bible verses that make women less human was not in the originals.. paul called women by name some of the women were taking the lead at romans 16: 3-16 in verse 3 say fellow worker prisca (woman).

then verse 7 junias (woman) this is interesting some bibles including the new world translation then says who are men or kinsmen this is not found at all in the older manuscripts so the new world translation and any other translation is in error.
