i am trying to build a list of hipocrisy with in the borg.
i dont mean things like the un scandal as people in the hall wont have heard of that, but smaller stuff that goes on all the time with out the rank and file noticing.

after reading about puternuts (ari) suicide, and also reading about sabine and js losing their daughter to this cult, i think it would be a fitting memorial, so to speak, to write a list of all the people we know who died because of this cult.
i also know that cruzanheart lost her dad to it, too.
i'm sure there are many here that can make a list of suicides brought on by the shunning/threatening policies of the watchtower cult.
Can't remember his name, but an ACTIVE Providing O'r for my friends congregation that I work with shot himself in the head last year. No note left, only thing any one could figure is his wife was dying of cancer, maybe he couldn't handle it, but a PO????
i had an interesting conversation the other day with a friend who is also an ex-jw.
this person is older than i am, and was a jw for a number of decades.
she was talking about worldly relatives that she basically ignored when she was a jw.
No different what so ever. Friends come and go, family is forever.
why is it so offensive to a jw when a person mentions the cross?
I think becuase the cross is a symbol, so it's like idolatry.

argh, i'm a little on the frustrated side right now, so i'm looking for some help.. i'm usually quite good at getting lots of sleep, i'm usually in bed at a decent hour in the night and can usually get between 7 and 9 hours of sleep a night (more on the weekends, of course), but for the last week or so, i've been having some trouble sleeping.
a scattered night of sleeplessness can be expected from time to time, but it's been about 10 days now, that's a little excessive.
i do all of my usual things during the day - classes, homework, chores, cooking, cleaning, errands - and i never nap during the day, i avoid all forms of caffeine after 5pm, and i always go to bed feeling like it's time for me to go to sleep, i'm usually tired at bedtime, but lately, it's been taking me forever to get to sleep.
Oh my goodness, I feel your pain. I have had ensomnia for years now. If someone gives you a suggestion that works, let me know. I've tried everything, and so far, nothing has worked. I feel like I could die from sleep deprovation, uhg!
ive been reading this forum for a long time, but this new situation has come up and now it looks like i need your help.

my wife and i were both jws, and we both left it together.

If you stay together for the kids, they will know. They feel the tension, they are much smarter than you think. If you stay together the way you are living now, how will it affect your children when they are adults? I can sympathize with why you want to stay, but if you both want out, trust me, it is for the best.Sometimes you cannot fix what is broke. I hate to say that with small childrren, but sometimes people have to do, what they have to do. It will be hard, very hard, but everyone will adjust. However, if mommy and daddy are happy, the kids are happy, once again, trust me, I know from my own personal experience.

i just went to the grocery store about a little while ago, came around the corner of an isle, and there was a jw i used to know pretty good.
he smiled real big and said hello how are you?
Yes sir! It certainly was! LOL i'm not DF'd, I was never baptized, but they treat me as if I was. I think only because they have known my soon to be ex hubby since the 70's. (He is ten years older than me.) You know how the south is, they stick together whether some one is in the right or wrong, doesn't matter
