  How sweet...Not knowing when family dies....

  ahhh, just blowing off a little steam here...perhaps many of you have been through the same shit.

  i knew for the past couple of years that my uncle in mobile was dying of cancer.

  well, the last time my mother and i talked (around october i think)she said, "well, we were in mobile all last weekend for uncle *****'s funeral".

  Ahhh, just blowing off a little steam here...perhaps many of you have been through the same shit. I knew for the past couple of years that my uncle in Mobile was dying of cancer. Well, the last time my mother and I talked (around october I think)she said, "well, we were in Mobile all last weekend for Uncle *****'s funeral". Thanks alot for telling me. Now I'm just curious who else has died. This is the shit that gets to me the most. It makes me appreciate the bumper sticker, "Be nice to your kids, they may choose a nursing home" even more...

  or did you all manage to abstain until you left?

  i know it was one of the main reasons i left.

  It may not be in recent literature, but the majority of witnesses I knew equated Onanism with masturbation. Either which way, they said, you were "spilling your seed." Of course, you could argue against this due to the fact that they say self pleasure for women is wrong also. Plus birth control is a "matter of conscience". Hell, all I know is that if more JWs used birth control, the world would be a much better place....

  JWs are one of the last religions to believe in "Onanism". They still strictly give attention to the story of Onan being struck down by Jah for "spilling his seed". But back then people thought semen contained little people! Anyway, the truth is, the vast majority of witnesses masturbate. Some feel guilty, some not. I did at times, but I got to the point where I didn't care. How many did it in the KH bathroom?

  how many of you have considered at any time making compensation claims through legal channels for sufferings you have been through at the hands of the wt corporation/s?.

  if you were to consider such a claim, what would be the foundational basis for your claim?.

  and if you've never considered it, what is it that you find particularly daunting that stops you from accessing this avenue?.

  I've always been curious is the charge for slander would stick. After all they are anouncing your name in front of a decent-sized croud. I know they don't say why you are being d/f'd, but it is a rather large implication of "wrongdoing"....

  Social Security and Jws

  i am a severly disabled adult who receives disability benefits.. i understand sometime ago the watchtower said in one of its magazine(probably watchtower)that a smaller pertentage(sic)of jws claimed the dole in france(this was, i believe during the problems with the french government)as opposed to a higher pertentage(sic)of roman catholic etc etc claiming the dole.. in view of what paul says in one of his letter`he that doesn't work, shall not eat' should jws be claiming the dole if they truly follow the bible.

  discuss.. i believe a social security system should provide for the disabled and pensioners.

  (i don't think the present uk social security system will survive in its present form with accelerting(sic)costs etc etc)

  As far as the States go...when you're talking about Social Security, you're talking about people and their employers putting money in a government retirement program... These moron witnesses that fall for the "armageddon is around the corner" bit and waste away their lives at Bethel or as regualr pioneers working part time for some witness scumbag doing janitorial work hardly contribute anything to Social Security (hardly pay any taxes at all). I hope they all end up on the streets when they get old and senile! It's your own faults, you morons!

  OK, here's the situation. I have a good friend who I grew up with and now lives in Mobile, AL. Of course, when I was d/f'd a couple of years back, all contact was gone. Nevertheless a while back a band I was in played a show at a bar in Mobile. Well, this old buddy shows up, talks to me all night, drinks like a fish, talks about how he finally lost his virginity, and actually smoked a couple of cigarettes. I haven't talked to him since. I know he is an active member in his congregation. I also know him and his family are full of shit. Anything I can do?
