i've got the #4 tommorrow night about why violent video games are not for christians.
if you think you can seriously write the talk well, with scriptures, write it, and i'll give it.
its tommorrow and i have no clue!!!
Then giggle maniacally, moon the audience (that should count as a gesture, if you're working on that point), and dance out of the room.
OMG Nina. That had me laughing. Thanks for the visual...!!

i heard something and i would like to know the truth so i'll ask this question..... how often do you bathe and change your underwear?.
i heard that people from certain places don't bathe for days and only change their underwear when it gets really deteriorated.. .
blessed star
I remember this being discussed from the stage at a District Convention - mid-80's, I think.
The speaker told all of in attendance (sweating in the hot sun at Dodger Stadium) that there is no reason for us not to bathe daily with soap and warm water. There are only a very few places on earth where is is not possible to bathe daily and even in those places one can usually bathe at least every few days.
Actual talk. Good counsel from Brooklyn.
I still follow the directive even though I'm no longer active in the org.
Daily for both.

i am a fader... actually i probably would be considered fully apostate for my views.
but i will do almost anything to avoid shunning.
well thinking over my life, i got baptised at 15 or 16. so i think it rules out getting an annulment.
I think that someone here about 3 months ago or so escaped judicial expulsion on the grounds that he was underage and thereby not legally responsible to make any contractual agreement (ie: joining the JWs).
Sorry, I don't remember the name of the poster...

i'm a nursing student and i have to do an essay.
the case study i'm doing is of an elderly gentleman who is a jehovahs witness and i'm wondering if any of you can tell me besides refusing a blood transfusion, if there is any other beliefs that would affect medical care?
i'm not a jehovahs witness but would be very interested to hear your comments and thank you in advance!
Nurse wrote: "...any other beliefs that would affect medical care?"
JWs as a whole are fairly reluctant to accept psychiatric care and depression is very common amongst members of all ages. This may warrant a little investigating under your 'other beliefs' category.
Also, many aged JWs are pretty much ignorred by family and congregation.

Ithinkisee and his wife Freedomlover both did a ton of research on 607. Look back at some of the threads each started and you will find some good info.
Here is one I found that might help you provide a simple answer:

My lost childhood and adolescence.
